πŸ“£ BRAVE PATIENT ALERT πŸ“£

Little Pepper came in for a standard lump removal today and was so incredibly brave! Her lump actually turned out to be an abdominal hernia but Dr. Tina made quick work of repairing it and little Pepper is now back home with her family recovering β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ’
Pepper is normally quite nervous when she visits us but she faced her fears and was an absolute angel in hospital today πŸ’•πŸͺ½
We couldn’t help but snap a photo of her with her little tongue poking out when we popped her back into her nice warm bed after surgery πŸ₯°

πŸ‘»πŸŽƒ HAPPY HALLOWEEN πŸŽƒπŸ‘»

We hope you’re making the most of this spooky season with puppy costumes, black kitty cuddles and tooth achingly sweet treats πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸ¬

We would like to offer a few suggestions on how to celebrate this spooky holiday safely with your furry friends:
πŸ”Έ Keep all chocolate, candy and sweet treats up high or secured out of reach. As far as our pups are concerned, anything on the ground is theirs to munch!

β–ͺ️Keep your cats inside and provide safe spaces for them to hide from trick or treaters.

πŸ”Έ If you are throwing a Halloween party, ensure your anxious ones have somewhere safe to escape from your guests. Spray some Feliway or Adaptil pheromones, and play some white noise/classical music to help them relax.

β–ͺ️ Keep a close eye on your decorations, to minimise risk of foreign body obstructions.

We hope you all have a safe and fun night and enjoy the chance to let loose in some spooky costumes πŸ‘―β€β™€οΈ
Happy Halloween πŸŽƒπŸ‘»

🚨TICK SEASON IS HERE 🚨

Paralysis tick season is upon us! Our veterinarians recommend that all pets use an appropriate tick preventative all year round, but especially during tick season (August to March).

If left untreated, tick paralysis can be fatal. It is extremely important to seek immediate veterinary care or advice if you notice any of the following symptoms:
🚨 Difficulty Breathing
πŸš‘ Collapse
🚨 Weakness
πŸš‘ Uncoordination
🚨 Vomiting or retching
πŸš‘ Unusual Vocalisation

If you live in NSW, especially on the Eastern Coast, we recommend you familiarise yourself with the three most prevalent ticks in this area so you will be better able to distinguish when your pet may be in danger.

If you are concerned that your pet may be suffering from tick paralysis, please do not hesitate to contact us on (02) 9548 3345 for advice or information regarding preventative treatments.

πŸ“£ FREE ENGRAVED DOG TAGS FOR NSW RESIDENTS πŸ“£

We want to help more lost dogs return home WITHOUT coming to council shelters.

So, we are giving away 1000 FREE engraved dog tags to dog owners who live in NSW. All you need is a microchipped dog with up-to-date microchip details. Limit of 3 tags per household.

πŸ”Ή Not sure if your dog is microchipped? Bring your dog to your local council animal shelter, and the staff can scan the dog for a microchip and check if the details are up-to-date. If not, the staff can assist you in updating it, at no cost. If the dog isn't microchipped, some councils offer free or discounted microchipping, but if not, it can be done at vet clinics for a fee.

πŸ”Ή Do you have the microchip number already and want to verify if it's up-to-date? Contact your council with the microchip number, your full name, address, and phone number, and they can check for you.

If you are a NSW resident and have already confirmed that the microchip is up-to-date (including your name, phone number, and current address), get your free engraved pet tag here πŸ‘‰ https://bit.ly/free-engraved-dog-tags

This is a www.findmyowner.com.au initiative, proudly supported by the NSW Government.
