Looking for a home!
Meet Gingus (or Garfield depending on who you ask) who has been at Bexley for over a year while waiting for his forever home. He is 6 and a half years old and his health check shows that he is FIV+ (FIV is not transmissable to humans but means he can't be around other cats so needs to be a solo cat indoors) and some mild dental disease, but Gingus is a well cat otherwise. Gingus has been working on his weight with the nurses at Bexley during his stay (he was a bit on the chunky side...) but is definitely ready for a home. He is extremely affectionate but is not good with other cats (he reacts badly when other cats are around) and we think he might be better without small children for now. Gingus is being rehomed by Diamonds in the Ruff rescue but his friends at Bexley would love to see him settled. Please call us if you would like to meet Gingus on 9150 8387. Dr Tabitha is prayerful he finds a home as he is a good cat in need of TLC. With love, Bexley Vet

🐾 Thank you to everyone who participated in with us this August! 🐾

Make sure to keep up with a pawsome dental cleaning routine such as the one below all year round to keep those pearly whites sparkling!

🦷 Brushing: Just like hoomans, regular brushing is key! Use a pet or a soft children’s toothbrush to gently clean your furbabies teeth. Start slow and use tasty toothpaste flavours to make it a positive experience!

🦷 Dental chews/treats: They’re not only delicious, but they also help remove plaque and tartar buildup while satisfying our chewing instincts!

🦷 Dental & Balanced diet: A balanced diet contributes to strong teeth and gums. You can also opt to give vet recommended dental specific diets such as Hills T/D dry food.

🦷 Professional check-ups: Schedule regular vet visits for professional cleaning and dental exams. Your vet will catch any potential issues early on and keep those pearly whites shining bright!

Let’s keep those smiles shining and your pets breath fresh all year round! 😄🐾
