Reveille is training for jump crew

With all this young horse talk we want to give a big shout out to Joely Mann! Holly worked for Joely when she was just 19 years old, and during that time learned much of what she does with our young horses today. . Joely was a major influence not only in the process we use but also the way we go about all our daily interactions with the horses. We have an order of things the horses need to learn, whereby once they are confident with one skill they are ready for the next, as each feeds into the next seemlessly. . Since those days, Joely has been the ground person for almost every horse we have started. Joely and Holly have a rapport when starting horses where much goes unspoken at this point (although they are talking constantly about something!) it’s clear that the horses are in on the underlying conversation.

This guy! . First combination? “Hold my beer”! . @agrayton doing an amazing job on the young horse he picked from a video as an unbroke 3 year old nearly a year ago! . Every time he rides him he has a big smile and says he sees the big Spruce Meadows fields in his future 🤩
