Lavant is recovering well from having her eye removed. Her stitches are out and she has a few more days with her cone on. Unfortunately, when she came to us she had a traumatic eye injury. We tried to save it but the vet recommended removing it. She is doing really well and doesn’t mind it at all.

We have a wonderful diabetic boy named Dex in the rescue. If you have ever had a diabetic cat before you will understand how much work this is in the beginning stages and just how dedicated our amazing volunteers are.

Dex had his latest glucose curve done at the vet on Tuesday and he doing great. The vet has suggested it is time to switch him to a low carb wet food only diet. He was previously on both wet and dry food. In addition to his DM food, Dex can now eat Fancy Feast Pate!

Darling Calli was available at PetSmart but her stay didn't last too long. This sweet girl was found in a barn with her kittens. Her kittens we're scooped up and adopted quickly. Calli was spayed, vaccinated , microchipped and treated for fleas. She also had a cyst removed from her neck but that didn't slow her down. This cutie is now pending adoption with her forever family. Stay tuned to see who will arrive next!

Thanks again to all the staff and volunteers for making our cats comfortable and happy while in our partnered stores. We couldn't make these happy tales happen without you!

A word from Mushu's foster: "This iI didn't anticipate fostering Mushu, but when he came to us with the other bengals, they were dealing with so much grief and became so shut down and depressed. I decided to keep Mushu with me and help him build his confidence and feel loved so that he can find his forever home. After almost 3 weeks, he finally got his happy furrever and it brings me joy! I miss that little guy. My heart soars and aches. I wasn't prepared to both be so happy and miss a kitty's presence - then I started fostering.
