🐾 Training Session:
Bertie is a very friendly & handsome boy who needed help with recall and general training. Bertie has had 2 training sessions and is progressing fabulously well. His guardians have learned so much throughout the process, and have been diligent in completing their homework which has lead to great progress!

Well done Bertie!

🐾 Training Session:
Chloe was highly reactive to anyone entering the house, she would bark, lunge, growl, and try to bite anyone who tried to enter. Unfortunately, being a rescue we can only assume the worst things happened to her in the past.

A previous trainer told Chloe’s guardians to have her on a slip lead at all times, and pull it tight to stop her from reacting. You can see how this made her behaviour 10x worse!

After 10 minutes of calm/ desensitising work I was able to go inside and get started! By the end of the session she would voluntarily sit with me and wanted cuddles. Chloe’s guardians are being further supported by P.R.E.P. with training walks once per week. Chloe has also had a full vet check completed to ensure she wasn’t in any pain.

🐾 Training Session:
Cheddar was reactive to other dogs. He would get really worked up and didn’t know how to cope. After 1 session, his handlers fully understood his emotional cup, his triggers, and how to help him using the tools I provided. His handlers are so pleased he’s learned how to cope being around other dogs!

🐾 Training Session:
Blue is a very strong boy whose guardians needed help with loose lead walking. There had been an incident where Blue had pulled one of his guardians over, so their confidence was a bit knocked! Blue would get so excited upon seeing another dog/ cat/ person/ bird, that he would pull as much as possible to say hello.

In the session we covered loose lead walking techniques, & tools to help Blue check in with his guardian as to whether he was allowed to say hello to someone or not.

**JOB VACANCY - Advanced Dog Walker - Wi******er**

P.R.E.P. Dog Training & Behaviour is looking to expand further by adding another member to the team.

We offer Training Walks to help support our clients, these are solo (1 hour) walks to work on specific behaviours, and ensure the client finishes their walk feeling tired but fulfilled (mentally & physically). As a dog owner sometimes it can be difficult to find the time to train & exercise your dog, this is where Training Walks come in handy!

The position is part time, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings (this can be a bit flexible for the right candidate).

Experience with dogs is a must, additional training will be provided.

*Important - P.R.E.P. Is qualified through the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers, and ONLY uses force free, science based, ethical training methods.

🐾 Training Session:
Boba Toast was terribly afraid of anyone coming to the house, he would bark non stop and sometimes have an accident out of fear. He had learned that barking makes the scary thing go away, therefore keep barking and it will disappear!
After one session his owners learned how to desensitise him to certain noises, and also how to teach him that a lot of things aren’t that scary. Boba Toast also has regular training walks with P.R.E.P. to support his training.

🐾 Training Session:
Tommy was a “lockdown” dog, and really struggled to socialise nicely. He loved humans, but dogs? Not so much. He sometimes would entertain the idea of playing, then he would start to “bully” the other dog. We took Tommy for a walk, and he learned how to disengage from other dogs. He had had a few negative experiences in the past, so after lots of practice and replacing these negative experiences with positive ones, his reactivity became less and less.
