Whozza Good Dog Pet Dog Training Classes. Classes are held weekly at St Mary's Football Club, Scholes Bank, Horwich BL6 7QE. We accept dogs of all ages. Young puppies and older dogs should be fully vaccinated before joining the class. Please bring proof of vaccination with you on the first evening of class. It is regretted that dogs that may have an aggression problem cannot be accepted in-group classes, due to the necessity for the protection of others. If your dog has an aggression problem it may be possible to work with you on a one to one basis. Please contact us for further details. All owners’ must be prepared to sign a declaration of responsibility for their dogs whilst attending classes. Though classes comprise of puppies and older dogs, every care is taken to introduce puppies slowly, and sensitively. The size of the hall allows for separation if necessary. The course covers six-weekly sessions in basic, domestic training, and covers such modules as: • Walking well on a lead; • Coming back when asked; • Control at doorways etc; • Jumping up, food control, domestic good manners; • Learning about dog ownership, care, management and your obligation by law; • Simple games and tricks to amuse your dog. The course is broken down into two parts: 1. Introduction Evening (owners only, no dogs please) On this evening the owner (or family) will receive advice about dog training, what the course entails. 2. Five weeks practical training. Consisting of the modules and exercises listed above. Should you for any genuine reason (i.e. Bitch in season) be unable to complete the course, you will be offered a place on the next course, covering the weeks you miss. There are many training establishments in the area. Whether you choose to bring your dog to our classes, or others, please ensure the methods used are kind to your dog. About Your Trainer Peter Brownlow Peter is co-owner of a pet care company called PHG Bolton (Pets, Homes and Gardens) and has been organising dog boarding and dog walking services for 2 and half years working alongside his wife, Debbie. Wanting to expand their business they decided to offer puppy and dog training sessions at various venues in and around the Horwich area. Peter is a qualified instructor within the ADTB.
