Story time! Hope joined Pickles in November 2022, bringing the delightful news of her pregnancy in October 2023. Her pregnancy journey was smooth sailing, revealing she was expecting one puppy. On December 29th, she underwent a caesarian, and thanks to the exceptional vets at Pickles, Halo was born without any complications, albeit with a slight green tint. Visiting yesterday, we witnessed Halo thriving alongside his mother. This heartwarming tale stands as a remarkable success for our veterinary team, marking our inaugural caesarian procedure 🐕🎉🙌

Our new member of the week is Prince!! 🥺🥺 This little Pomsky is a very good boy, he loves a belly rubs and poses exceptionally well for the camera 🥺📸 fun fact for you: when he was born his eyes were the same colour! 👀 Prince had a great time exploring the clinic and once he got the all clear from our wonderful vet Alice he went home to enjoy the snuggly side of life ☺️ well done Prince !!!

Introducing Percy (or Percington for those in the know) our newest Member Of The Week 🙌🐾. This 2-year-old Miniature Schnauzer might hail from a lineage of agility champions, but he's made a unique mark at Pickles.🙌

While agility is in his genes, Percy's not too keen, his true role shines as Alice Roberts' go-to assistant. From standing curiously on laptops, being a steady presence between consultations, and even driving Alice back from work… (just kidding) he's become an integral part of our daily operations at Pickles. 🩺

Having grown up here, Percy embodies the spirit of Pickles. And a fun fact? He's quite taken with our pink tennis balls. 🎾

Our new Member Of The Week Tolle! 🙌🙌🥳 This 6 week old Bengal kitten came in for her first kitten check this week and it’s safe to say she really did steal the show 🥳🥺 she was a very brave girl, climbing and exploring the practice; she even tried her paw at helping Rory reply to his emails 📱😂 bengals really are incredibly intelligent! 🌟 Member of the Week: Twix the Labradoodle 🐾
Meet Twix, the fabulous 12-year-old Labradoodle. She recently visited our clinic to undergo a scan with the machine – a state-of-the-art, non-intrusive bit of tech that swiftly detects the presence of potential cancerous cells in lumps and bumps. 🛠🔍 With bated breath, we were all on the lookout, and the results came back positive: Twix is all good! 🎉 This brave pup didn't miss a beat, taking her experience in stride and enjoying some downtime on our comfy sofa post-scan. 🛋💤 Back at home now, we're sure she's living it up, relishing her favourite treats and toys. 🍖🎾 Cheers to Twix, the wonder-doodle of the week! 🍻🐕‍🦺

🐾 Meet the Team Tuesdays: Gabby Hajda 🐾 Say hello to Gabby Hajda, one of our exceptional Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN) at Pickles Vets! 🏥🐶 Gabby's journey in veterinary care started with passion and determination. After starting university in 2018, she achieved her dream of becoming a fully qualified RVN in March 2022, graduating from the prestigious RVC, the number one vet school in the world! 🌍🎓 Gabby's experience in various first opinion practices across London has honed her skills and deepened her love for feline-friendly practices and surgical nursing. 🐱❤️ She has a heartwarming collection of furry companions at home, including three sassy guinea pigs named Rusty, Coco, and Bunny, who are her absolute joy. Gabby's biological alarm clocks, these little furballs have learned to associate the sound of opening curtains with breakfast time—truly adorable! 🐹🌅 But her love for animals doesn't stop there! Gabby is also the proud parent of an orchid mantis called Barry. 🦗🌺 And let's not forget Marley, her previous dramatic dog who would dramatically sigh and walk away if anyone moved around too much on the sofa! 😄🐕 Beyond her dedication to veterinary care, Gabby's adventurous spirit extends to her personal achievements. Fluent in Hungarian and born and raised there, she is a double graduate at the young age of 22—talk about impressive! 🎓🎓 Moreover, Gabby is not just a passionate nurse but also a talented Guinea pig trainer. 🐾 Meet Stacey De Castro, the Head Nurse at Pickles Vets! 🐾 👩‍⚕️ Veterinary Background: Stacey graduated in 2017 🎓 from Portugal 🇵🇹 and later moved to the UK 🇬🇧 in 2018. She worked in a small practice in Tunbridge Wells before finding her way to the bustling city of London in 2019, where she became the esteemed Head Nurse 🏥. Always striving for excellence, Stacey completed a leadership course in 2021 and further specialised in Dermatology Nursing, finishing the course in 2022. Currently, she's pursuing a Medical Nursing Certificate 📚 to deepen her expertise. 🐶🐱 Furry Companions: Stacey's home is blessed with two adorable rescued pets! Meet Nami 🐾, the lively dog who loves zoomie moments and cuddling up on the sofa. 🛋️ Then there's Toastie 🐾, the quirky cat with a unique love for strawberries 🍓 and raspberries 🍇. When feeling affectionate, Toastie likes to nuzzle Stacey's face and, sometimes, surprise her with a gentle nose or chin nibble! 😸 💡 Fun Fact: Beyond her love for veterinary care, Stacey has an exciting fun fact to share! Its Treat Tuesday! And today we are very excited to be telling you all about the new dog bowls and leads from ! Tangle is an exciting new brand with an aim to help stop the ghost net problem. Ghost nets are lost, abandoned or discarded fishing 🎣 nets and make up around 50% of the plastic in the ocean! Tangle aims to fight back by creating their products by recycling these nets and turning them into beautiful dog bowls 🐕 and leads. You can find these brilliant products in our practice right now in Fulham or on our new online shop!! So do treat your doggy to a treat this Tuesday and in turn help save our oceans!

This cute little 10 week old bundle of joy came in to our clinic in Fulham this week for her first vaccine!!! She was ever so brave!

She didn’t even feel a thing thanks to all the cuddles and help from our brilliant vets and nurses!

Piper is now back exploring her home and doing what she does best!

Well done to piper for becoming this weeks member of the week!!!!

🌟 It's time for Meet the Team Tuesday, and today we're introducing you to our Clinical Director, Rory! 🩺 Rory is a true veterinary superstar, with a passion for animal care that started at a young age. 🐾 After growing up on farms in the Cotswolds, Rory pursued his dream of becoming a vet, studying at the Royal Veterinary College and graduating in 2015. Since then, he's been working in and around London, and even obtained his post-graduate certificate in small animal surgery in 2018! 🎓 As our Clinical Director, Rory is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our clinical practice and ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care. 🐶🐱 His expertise and dedication to his work are truly unmatched, and we feel incredibly lucky to have him as part of our team! 🙌 Here's a little fun fact about Rory: he's a published author and was featured on a kids TV series for 8 seasons! 📚📺 Is there anything this guy can't do?! 😂 We hope you enjoyed getting to know Rory a little better, drop a comment below if you're a fan! 👇
