Hey all, it’s a bank holiday tomorrow so I don’t have the hall but as we have missed a couple of sessions due to the heat, I will run a road walking session tomorrow, meeting in the car park at 7pm, let me know. H 🙈

They weren’t joking when they said it would be like the Sahara desert today 😂😂, Classes canceled tonight, it’s far too hot to work the dogs, sorry everyone and see you next week.
Okay I’m posting this now hoping it gives you guys more time to see it 😊 please check on my post on Monday to confirm if we are running as the forecast is saying it will be 31 degrees on Monday!!! Which is will be too warm for classes

Okay so it appears we are back living in the Sahara desert conditions again 😂 Realistically it looks like it’s going to be too hot to run classes, but I will confirm at 5pm tomorrow? However I was thinking some of you guys have been pushing for some 1-2–1’s with me which with my work is very hard to fit in, however if you wanted to come down tomorrow for a sit in the shade and we can have a proper chat and make some plans for your dogs? Let me know. H

Hello all, please let me know if you’re coming tomorrow, I know it’s meant to be warm tomorrow but it will of cooled down by the time our classes start and we will be in the shade, so should be okay 😊 on that note, now the warmer weather is finally here, please remember to always check the heat of the pavements before you go for a walk with your 4 legged friend…… the 5 second rule, hold the back of your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds, if it is too hot to hold your hand down it’s too hot for your dogs paws, so many dogs burn their feet on hot pavements and die of heat exhaustion being walked in the heat. It’s better that your dog misses a walk and is still alive!!

Guys, there will be lots of fireworks this weekend, do not walk your dog off lead after dark, even the best, most well trained dog can suddenly get spooked when the bangs start going off, so many dogs go missing or get hit by cars at this time of year, it’s just not worth it. Lead walks and training/ games in the house is the safest option and remember to give your dog a quiet dark place in the house to hide in if they are scared of fireworks. H

H ( And remember if you’re dog is scared of fireworks, now is the time to start getting things ready, find a quiet spot in the house that is covered and put a bed there and start feeding your dogs in that spot so they learn that it is a safe space for them, get the recordings specially made for dogs of firework noises and start quietly playing it in the house to try and desensitise your dogs)
