Fairly obvious, not much of a caption required (and this is a piece I worked on some time ago) but how soothing is it watching someone painting?! That’s probably why I love my job so much, the painting/drawing part is very peaceful and calming, almost meditative (is that a word?).
Basically the opposite of parenting 🤪

I’m going to be opening a few order slots again for delivery just in time for Mother’s Day weekend, as lots of you have been in touch asking about the possibility, (I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to cos sleep deprivation) but I’ve decided to bite the bullet so put *Thursday 13th February* in your diaries!

Since finishing all your amazing commissions (which I still can’t share on here for obvious reasons!) I have been getting my Christmas ON, Wednesday I made a gingerbread house with A (hardest thing I’ve ever done food-wise and will never attempt it again 😂) bought the remaining Christmas pressies on my list (nearly all of them 🤦🏼♀️) then yesterday we went to see Home Alone at the Royal Albert Hall with a live orchestra (!) best thing EVER, it was so festive! (Although also slightly stressful at the beginning with Albie who kept shouting out ‘but why did his Mummy and Daddy leave him?!’ Whoops. He perked right up once the violence began though 😂 but today is the cherry on top, we are off to LaplandUK to visit Father Christmas, Albie doesn’t know so it’s going to be a brilliant surprise, I don’t know who’ll be more excited, him or me!
Sunday sparkle ✨ working away on ALL of your orders that have come through this weekend (you guys never cease to amaze!!! 🤗 thank you, you absolute dream boats) cosied up by the fire, while @ramackay78 cooks dinner and folds washing (he’s never looked more attractive 😍) and little A is engrossed in playing with trains and watching Aladdin (I may be watching out the corner of my eye). Feeling smug 😊 Come back to me in approx 2-3 weeks time when I’m frantically pulling my hair out and surviving on cups of tea and adrenaline with no clean clothes to wear... but for today everything is👌🏻
On our walk to nursery this morning Albie and I spotted our very first Bumble bee of the year. He’s always been fascinated by bees (as am I) and we recently went through a phase of reading “The Little Boy Who Lost His Bumble” by @trudiesberger every single evening before bed (which I’d highly recommend btw the illustrations are gorgeous and there are bumblebee facts at the end) So I thought I’d have a go at sketching one this morning. Maybe I could make it into a print -what do you guys think? Yay or nay? If you can come up with a bee related quip/ wording type it below and you’ll win a gold star! 😂 ⭐️

Well, Wednesdays are Albie and Mummy days. But after football this morning, scooting to the park, watching trains, planes and... er, fire engines (see my instagram stories if you like snotty toddlers) this afternoon my Dad came to help out, and when Master A woke up from his nap he entertained him very well, so I could do THIS... (let’s just say Christmas craziness has well and truly kicked in here at Homemade House HQ)
