🐾 What a wonderful bunch!🐾

🌟 Poppy, Ted, Gladstone and Lola all came in to see one of our nurses for a 6 month health check a few weeks ago. With all 4 in the consult room, a little crowd control was required, but they all behaved impeccably 🌟

🐾 6 month health checks are a great feature of our healthy pet club that enable owners to discuss lots of aspects of care, such a diet, exercise and behaviour, as well as getting a full nose to tail check 🐾

☀️ Hot Weather ☀️
Heat stress starts as a reversible condition, but if not managed it will develop to heat stroke, which is extremely dangerous. If your pet shows any of these signs, they should be moved to a cool area and offered plenty of water to drink.

This very friendly young female cat was handed in by a member of the public after she was found hanging around the local primary school.

🤞🏻Unfortunately she isn’t microchipped, but someone must be missing her 🤞🏻

🐾 Everyone meet Ralph and Mittens 🐾

🐈‍⬛ They were with us to be neutered and then had the all clear at their post op check last week 🐈

🐾 As you can see, after their op, Ralph was keen to pose for the camera and have lots of fuss, but Mittens was a bit more reserved! 🐾

💕She came in for a lap spay the other week and this is in her kennel afterwards, having plenty of fuss and loves from Carlie 💕

🩺Lap spays are a great alternative to a traditional spay as the recovery is much quicker and they can return to full exercise in just 2 days! 🩺

🐾 Well done Fruity for being such a good girl 🐾

🐰 Rabbit Awareness Week 🐰

Flystrike happens more often in warm weather, and in rabbits who have soiled fur (often due to poor diet, obesity or arthritis).

Throughout the spring and summer rabbits must be checked twice daily and any soiled fur cleaned. If you find any sign of fly eggs or maggots you must arrange for your rabbit to see a vet as soon as possible.

🐾 Misty came to see Ingrid today as she had eaten some grapes 🐾

🍇 Most people know grapes are toxic to dogs, but did you know that it’s not dose dependent? That means, your pet could eat only a couple of grapes and it could still make them very ill 🍇

💉 Luckily, Misty was able to have an injection to make her sick, before the grapes could affect her body 💉

🐾 She’s feeling a bit sorry for herself in the pictures, but had plenty of TLC from our nurse Gemma and was soon back to normal 🐾

🖥 Tomorrow (Thursday 16th May) - system upgrades 🖥

The following practices will be *closed* on Thursday 16th: Broseley, Kinver, Ludlow. You'll still be able to reach us by phone - all calls will be diverted.

It is ”business as usual” at our other sites whilst we get used to our improved systems, although processes such as booking appointments may take us a little longer than usual. Thank you for your patience!

Once we are up to speed, our improved system will open up exciting developments to ensure you and your pet have the best customer and patient experience.
