We provide face painting services for all ages, biodegradable chunky glitter for festival faces, and glitter tattoos as an added service. Our equipment, setup and materials are of the highest quality and only ever cosmetic grade. Some of our regular customers include Norwich City Council for the annual Lord Mayor’ celebrations, Fairy Fair and Real Halloween for the Fairyland Trust, Norwich High School for Girls and Nursery for their regular events and annually at the Royal Norfolk Show, BFLF family events, the annual Morley Beer Festival, The World Horse Welfare charity for their weekly Wacky Wednesday family event in the school holidays and many more. We can be seen annually, painting in the family area at Latitude. We genuinely care about what we do, and we enjoy it too. With many years of experience, we offer service of the highest quality and have very high standards when it comes to professionalism and customer care. Our levels of hygiene are second to none and we hold a certificate in training for Covid-19 Infection Prevention and Control to inform our work and ensure our equipment and work area is safe. I had such a lovely morning at the Ellacomb care home today.

Lovely people everywhere.

Thanks to Bobbie (and Riley) for making me welcome. Riley worked like a champ to keep the ping pong game going. Such a helpful lad.

This little girl was so sweet - and sweeter after she got her lollipop opened and ate her bag of treats (from the ping pong game).

I’m so excited to pass these skills and knowledge on to others. Have fun while building confidence and expressing yourself artistically.

You don’t have to be an artist, have existing skills or talent (trust me, I didn’t when I started 13 years ago!). In fact (read more on the event or ticket link) one reason I set up training is for those that believe they aren’t artistic/able/creative etc etc. I strongly believe we are all creative. But creativity is often stifled in childhood by comparison, goals, exams etc.

Learning is messy. Messy is human. Learning should be fun 🤩

“Sam, it’s too early to be thinking about Halloween!” I hear you say.

I know, I know - what on earth am I doing thinking about OCTOBER?!

I’m turning 50 in October, and I’m determined to pass on some skills and knowledge to those that want to learn 🎨

I hear my own voice, from the last 13 years, responding to customers when I hear them say “I wish I could do that but… (pick a phrase)

…I’m not creative
…It would be a mess
…I don’t have an artistic bone in my body
…I’m just not talented

I just constantly want to reassure people, and I try. It’s not YOU! It’s rarely talent. It’s skill. And skill is learned, takes practise and dedication, and messing up is a requirement! We have to re learn how to accept our messy mistakes and carry on improving (in art, as in life). Just because someone told us “You can’t…” doesn’t mean we have to believe it. Stepping out of the comfort zone can silence the voice of self doubt🤫

NOTE - SKILLS LEARNED IN THIS WORKSHOP ARE ESSENTIAL FACE PAINTING SKILLS, NOT JUST FOR HALLOWEEN 🎨

Using this image again, from SENDfest as he was so cute and fun to talk to. This boy shared one of the many interesting conversations I had with young people over the 2 full days of painting. One group of young ladies were from Wedt Norfolk YAB (youth advisory board). They were telling me about the great work they’re doing to raise awareness and campaign for accessible play areas and playground equipment across Norfolk. I was so impressed with their commitment and dedication. I hope I can, in some way, support their efforts.
