⛔ Priory roundabout road closures ⛔

Please see the post regarding the road disruption near our Out Of Hours vets.
They are still open for emergencies as usual, but be mindful if you do need their services.

‼️ ROAD CLOSURES‼️

🚗Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th September - The south east quadrant will be closed from 8pm-6am. (A52 Derby Road to Wollaton Vale)

🚗Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th September - The northwest quadrant will be closed. (A52 Derby Road to Woodside Road)

Access will be permitted for any emergency requirements to come to us at Priory Vets

Please keep this in mind if you are coming to our Out Of Hour services and take into consideration extra time to get to us.

🍂September is here, and so we say hello to our ✨Star Patient Of The Month, Charlie ✨

Charlie is 17 and a half years old so for that alone we think he deserves the Star title 🌟

We see Charlie monthly for his librela injections - usually he can be a little bit worried, but he didn't even notice his most recent jab.. he was too distracted by the tasty liver paste!
Charlie is in fabulous condition for his age and every time we see him, we are amazed by his impressive ears! He's ever such a happy chap and enjoys plodding along at his own pace🐾

As the 1st of this month lands on , what better time to introduce our August's 🌟Star Patient Of The Month, ✨ Pecan ✨

Pecan is a very lucky little chap who managed to impale himself on a stick and come away with almost no injuries!!

We will never know how Poor Pecan got himself in this sticky situation, our best guess is he fell off a fence and landed awkwardly.. He made his way home with the stick protruding from his a**s. Luckily his parents brought him straight to us! ❤️‍🩹

Vet Dawn and the nursing team worked their magic and managed to remove a whopping 19.5cm stick!
Pecan's x-ray and examination showed no obvious internal injuries, despite how deep the stick was.

Pecan was an absolute superstar throughout the whole ordeal, recovered remarkably well and is now back to his usual happy self🖤 Well done little Pecan 😻

Arnie was an absolute star for his abscess flush.✨

We are proud to have reduced our use of antibiotics due to world wide issues with bacterial resistance!

Arnie had become quite run down with an infection following a cat bite abscess and had to have his wound thoroughly cleaned.
Here he is recovering well, and once we got him feeling better he enjoyed some well deserved fusses😻
