šæāļøInformation on Grass Seeds āšæ
Grass seeds are small, pointy seeds that are attached to the top of long grass stems. The are often found in meadows and woodlands during summer months and they can cause serious problems are dogs on during their walks.
Grass seeds have sharp ends, so although they are small, if they become trapped in your dogs fur, they can burrow down and pierce their skin. They can also get stuck in your dogs paws, ears, eyes and nose. If your dog becomes injured by a grass seed, it can be very painful.
In rare cases, grass seeds can go underneath the skin and travel to other areas of your dogs body, for example their chest. Once they are under the skin, they can be very difficult to find.

It is a good idea to check your dogs feet and ear for grass seeds after exercise, especially if you have gone through woodlands or areas with long grass
