Witnessing her wake up from the operation as if nothing happened was truly remarkable. 🌟 Now, I'm thrilled to share that she's back to her magnificent self! Her owner reports that she's sporting beautiful tail feathers and has regained her appetite and strength, soaring through the skies with grace and vigor.

It's moments like these that remind us of the incredible bond we share with our feathered friends and the joy they bring into our lives. So, let's give a round of applause and shake those tail feathers in celebration of this resilient Harris Hawk! 🎉🦅

Sometimes our reptiles can suffer from constipation, like in this very uncomfortable Bearded Dragon. If your reptile has gone off their food, it is important to get them checked out and treated immediately.
This fella passed this large blockage on the way home. The owner was very relieved, despite the awful smell.

Don't forget to give your reptile the best chance at a happy, healthy life, by giving them their spring health check. We often find parasitic eggs, like this. They can cause all sorts of issues, and a spring clean can help get them off to a good start for the year.

This Guinea Pig patient of mine was suffering from 'Tongue Entrapment'. The lower molars had grown entirely over the tongue, trapping it in place. As you can imagine, the tongue provides vital functions, such as moving the food around the mouth to be broken down by chewing and pushing the food to the back of the mouth for swallowing. This little Guinea Pig was slowly starving to death, unable to properly chew or swallow its' food. I was happy to see her go home eating well again after her general anaesthetic and dental.
If your small mammal (Chinchilla, Degu, Guinea Pig, Rabbit, etc.) suddenly goes off their food, has unexplained weight loss, or drools excessively, make sure you get them checked immediately with an exotic specialist.
