TOP 5 DEADLY DISEASES OF DOGS:
Dogs are like humans and they can get sick anytime. As pet owners or breeders, it's your responsibility to take care of them when they fall sick. One of the symptoms to look out for to know your dog might be sick is Anorexia (Low feeding appetite).
Dogs love food, so when you notice they ain't eating, something might be wrong.

1. CANINE PARVOVIRUS INFECTION:
Symptoms:
Anorexia, fever, lethargy, vomiting, bloody diarrhea, dehydration and weight loss.
Parvo is a highly contagious viral diseases that infects dogs that come in close contact with the f***l matter of a sick dog. And, sadly, parvo’s easy to spread but hard to treat.
It's preventable by taking 3 shots of the DHLPP vaccination at recommended intervals by your Veterinarian.
2. CANINE DISTEMPER INFECTION:
Symptoms:
Fever, coughing, vomiting, limb paralysis
Canine distemper, also known as "Hardpad disease" because it hardens the dogs’ noses and footpads, is an highly contagious viral disease that is transmitted through airborne exposure or contact like shared feeding bowls or water. While all dogs are at risk of contracting canine distemper, it majorly affects puppies and dogs that are especially prone to respiratory diseases.
3. CANINE LEPTOSPIROSIS:
Leptospirosis is a zoonotic infectious diseases of dogs caused by bacteria of the genus Leptospira.
Symptoms:
Anorexia, lethargy, vomiting, abdominal pain, muscle pain and relunctance to move. Excessive urination which might appear bloody is also common.
In general, currently available vaccines provide good protection from disease for at least one year.
4. CANINE RABIES:
Canine Rabies is an acute zoonotic fatal viral diseases of the central nervous system.
Symptoms:
Signs of rabies in dogs include fever, difficulty swallowing, excessive drooling, staggering, seizures, and even paralysis.
As the diseases progresses, your dog may act akwardly on exposure to light and water.
Luckily enough, this diseases is also preventable and there are currently no treatments.
5. CANINE BABESIOSIS:
Our last diseases on the list is Canine Babesiosis.
Babesiosis is a protozoan diseases of the genus Babesia transmitted by ixodid ticks.
Symptoms:
Fever, weakness, reduced appetite, anemia, jaundice and weight loss. Bloody urine known as (Haemoglobinuria) occur during the later stage of the disease.
Canine Babesiosis is also preventable by control of ticks on your dogs and the environment.
