And we are away. Jax is a legend. This is what we did New Years eve at 7.30pm. Rode at Woodhill forest. We even rode at 11.45pm up the track to watch the fire works off the Sky Tower.
What a dude.
Finally got off the farm with Jax.
Not going to say it was the smoothest ride, Jax is all good in traffic but grates and letterboxes and sheep appearing from nowhere gave his cause to pause and head to the middle of the road 🙄 no big spooks just let's go waaaay around that and keep an eye on it 😅
OK so not the same horse as yesterday 🙄 a total tit.
We made it half way around that paddock before he lost the plot. Having a full on tantrum.
I stayed on persevered made it 3/4 of the way and he lost it again.
I decided to lunge him and he was leaping around so much I tried to film it.
Sooo spring is in the air I guess. Tomorrow is another day.
How crack up is this.
I was quite cocky when I started this ride. Thinking oh look at me go, reading my horses thoughts, connecting being patient etc. We did great on the way out but on the way back .... we hit a snag.
Usually horses are keen to go back but not Jax.
I don't know how long we sat there but I ended up calling for help 🤣🤣.
So my 10 year old gets in behind waves a stick and clicks Jax on and a way we go. Embarrassing much.
Anyway check out my antics as I try to encourage that lump of fluff to go back to his paddock 😄
Still a long way to go. 😄 we can now stand stoll for mounting with a bit of bribery and stand still in general. Finding a saddle to fit is seemingly impossible even though he is only 15.3hh he's like a 5ft3 in covers and xxw in a saddle. 😳
There is some junk.in that trunk 😆 first ride back on Jax (pump up the volume) done and dusted, we have a bit to do but I'm sure it will come along OK. Will post some riding videos once we are a bit more organized
Had a few tack malfunctions on Tuesday 🙄
