We are now fully booked for all of 2024 at Wicketts 😱. This year, we've been fortunate to have more staff, enabling us to accommodate more customers than in previous years, when we were fully booked by the first week of October. We are not maintaining a cancellation list, but please keep an eye 👀 our page for any upcoming cancellations. Thank you for your support throughout 2024; we value each of you! 💜 The Wicketts Team.

📣 Exciting news!!!
Nicky has just opened a new salon 😱😍.
Chique Pups in TaiTapu (8min drive from Halswell)!! Right next to the TaiTapu petrol station, plenty of parking.
To start we will only be open Wednesday's and Thursday's. Text us on 021 143 5537 for an appointment (no large breed dogs sorry).
If you already have an appointment at Wicketts and would prefer Chique no problem, please just let us know when you text 💛
At any time there will be a max of two groomers, so great for the senior or more anxious dogs. Have a lovely long weekend, I hope the sun pops it's head out for us 🌞🤞🏼!

📣 Don't forget Dr Paul Williams is running a vet clinic on Sunday's. Prices below show how very reasonable they are!! A message from Dr Williams:

On Sunday mornings I'll be holding a clinic at Wicketts, 37 Lincoln Rd, Hillmorton assisted by my wife Heather while their facilities aren’t being used for grooming. If you want to book phone or text 021 0821 1328, email [email protected] or message me here. I'll take your pet’s details and medical history and may arrange a no obligation, fully refundable pre operative consultation if warranted. We will also be offering subsidised vaccination if required. So the services we offer and prices which include the consultation or pre operative health check are:
Routine cat dental $380
Routine dog dental $520-580
Cat neuter $107
Cat spay $210
Dog neuter $259-357
Dog spay $395-510
Microchipping and lifetime registration on the NZ Companion Animal Register $54
We can also perform some lumpectomies following a consultation and will give individual quotes for these.
Vaccination dog 5 in 1 $89
Vaccination dog canine cough $80
Vaccination dog 5 in 1 and canine cough $111
Vaccination cat 3 in 1 $75
Because we don't have much in the way of overheads or staff costs and by requiring a 50% deposit up front to secure your booking, with the balance payable on the day of their procedure, we are able to offer these services at very competitive prices. It also aligns well with my passion for primary health care and preventative medicine and hopefully can result in a big improvement to the health and happiness of your pets! Variation in the dog fees is related to differences in their size and weight, we’ll give you a specific price for your pet. Should you require vaccination only we’ll give you a time for this to be done, and the price will be as above, only add $10, the prices in the list shown here are specifically for vaccinations done at the time of surgery or as part of the preoperative consultation.

Exciting News!!!!

I've always been passionate about Canine/feline dental hygiene. Untreated decay and rotten teeth can cause blood poisoning and terrible pain for your animals. As a groomer I see many terirble cases.

Dr Paul Williams recently sold his practice (Little River Vet) and is now offering reduced price dentals, desexing and other surgical procedures at Wicketts on Sunday mornings.
