Detective Bella and I checking out the oil sheen on the waters of Sentosa Cove 🕵🏻‍♀️🌊

On 14 June 2024, oil spilled into Singaporean waters after a Netherlands-flagged dredger (Vox Maxima) 🇳🇱 struck a stationary Singapore-flagged bunker vessel (Marine Honor) 🇸🇬 at 2pm in the southern port of Pasir Panjang 🚢

The collision ruptured one of Marine Honour’s oil cargo tanks, causing half of the vessel's sulphur fuel oil (about 400 metric tons) to be released into the sea 🛢️

This has truly affected the marine life 🦦🐟🐦‍⬛. 2 out of the 4 kingfishers rescued have now died 😢

Went to the Live Turtle Museum to support them 🐢 as they are currently running out of funds to upkeep the turtles and tortoises 💸😢 Please visit! 🙏🏻

They are in the Guinness World Record 🌎 for the largest collection 🤩

You get vegetable stalks 🥬 and pellets to feed the free roaming animals. So fun!

They also brought out the Giant Turtle and said we could feed it. See pic below!

I can't believe this May 2024 marks the 170th anniversary of the Convent Schools. ⛪ What a long way we have come. The school hall still looks the same!

Founded in 1854, CHIJ Toa Payoh is the oldest of the 11 Convent Of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ) schools in Singapore. Its original site was in Victoria Street which is now known as CHIJMES.

And I'll always remember my school's motto - "Simple in Virtue, Steadfast in Duty". 🤍🙏🏻

“Simple in Virtue” referring to the cultivation of personal honesty and treatment of others with respect, openess and sincerity. “Steadfast in Duty” notes the strength of character and fortitude necessary to overcome difficulties and to complete ones tasks and duties in service.

The Convent Schools celebrate their 170th anniversary today! 🎉 Pictures and videos of my Alma Mater 🏫 Founded in 1854, the school is the oldest of the 11 Convent Of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ) schools in Singapore. Its original site was in Victoria Street which is now known as CHIJMES. In December 1983, the school moved to its new location in Toa Payoh, and as a result, its name was changed to the Convent Of the Holy Infant Jesus (Toa Payoh).
