In September 1990, Bo Jackson hit a hard one-hopper back at Nolan Ryan, and it hit Nolan in the face. It put a 2-inch gash in his lip that required six stitches. The blood poured, Nolan threw the ball to first, and he kept pitching without leaving the field. He didn’t even wipe the blood off his face! He told the trainer to keep his ass in the dugout, threw seven innings of 1-run ball, and got his stitches after the game.

Nolan said the injury wasn’t a factor, and that whatever happens during the game, you have to put it out of your mind. And that’s the definition of hard work. To keep going. If you’re hurt, if you’re tired, just keep going. For your team, and for your family. No matter what.

We have farm fresh eggs! Chickens are warm, dry and get plenty of daylight these dark winter days so we are getting 10-18 eggs a day.

$4 a dozen. $5 for 18. (We only have 6 18 pk currently)
