Okay now that I got your attention with the weird title of this post….

As I was driving over to Dodie’s last night to get my weekly dose of help from her I started thinking about how many times in the past I’ve gotten help and I thought surely I was going to dominate at the next barrel race or rodeo and I didn’t.

Then I started thinking..getting help is kinda like getting a cast on a broken leg. Getting the cast isn’t going to miraculously fix your broken bone over night…but it’s going to help it heal a heck of a lot faster vs if you just left it without any medical attention.

Same thing goes for getting help..your most likely not going to have all your problems fixed in just one session or just one run but your going to get it figured out a heck of a lot faster than you would have if you didn’t get help!

Lessons are weekly.

We offer 1 week for makeup lessons due to weather or emergency cancellations.

Lessons are paid before your first lesson of the month-for the whole month.

I am a technical riding instructor. I teach what is physically possible for horses, no tricks, no gimmicks, no lying about your/your child’s abilities or where they are in their journey. My main goal is to teach you and your children enough to eventually not need me.

I teach problem solving, confidence, leadership, accountability FIRST. No good horseman is made on excuses or bandaid training. Discipline specific training comes AFTER good horsemanship.

I’m not roses and rainbows, I’m an equal opportunity trainer. I get overly excited about very small wins of my riders because a solid foundation is the only way to build good horsemanship. Yes, I yell. Yes I cry. Your child will get a raw instuctor-everyone has good and bad days. I give grace for it just as I expect the same. Horses are no different.

Safety is extremely important-as I do not do it for you/your child, I instruct YOU to do it yourself.

My biggest no-go for acceptance of clients is that they let me lead the lesson, I need all the details beforehand about how your child learns best and any behavioral issues we need to work with. I do not turn clients away because of issues beyond lack of motivation and lack of respect.

In short, if you want to learn real horsemanship based on how, why and when, we will work great together. If your child thinks they can do my job, we will not work well together.

I am always open to questions, clarification and understanding. I will allow your child’s brain to work and problem solve. That is the goal!

*to be in group lessons you must take a minimum of 2 private lessons, especially if coming from another riding program.

Currently have openings for group and private lessons on Tuesdays and Wednesdays-daytime and after school.

I train/give lessons to outside clients should you have your own horse and place to ride. If you have hs rodeo kids that want to meet weekly get a group together!

Short stirrup lessons-ages 2-5 are daytime only and depending on the children I max out at 2 riders. (45 min for 1 child, 1 hr for 2 children) these lessons are more confidence/muscle memory than skill. $55/lesson

Group lessons-ages 6 and up are daytime or after school. (1 hr) $60/lesson

Private lessons-ages 6 and up are daytime or after school (1 hr) $75 daytime-$115 afterschool, after school fills quickly with group lessons-if I have enough private lessons I will add another day for lessons.

We are a small facility and we are looking for horse owners that value and respect the facility, the other owners, the lesson clients and my family and volunteers. We have riders of all ages!

We will not feed coastal. Our feeding program is proven, we will add supplements/daily meds if needed!

Willing to offset SOME board cost with work. Max offset $150(10 hrs work)

We use outlaw equine in Decatur and I haul to vet appts as needed for dental, coggins, shots, etc as needed, I charge to haul.
