The facility accommodates the changing needs in the veterinary medical field. Brasher is a highly qualified Texas A&M graduate with outstanding experience and reputation. He has been in practice in the Memorial area of Houston for over 20 years. Associate

veterinarian Dr. Mark Peterson also attended Texas A&M. In recent years, he has spent most of his efforts working with small animals and has studied the use of ultrasound to diagnose problems and continues to seek more in depth studies in the field. The clinic is equipped to offer many modern diagnostic services including ultrasound, radiology, electrocardiography (EKG), and clinical pathology. Once a diagnosis is made, we are staffed to meet most surgical and medical needs. The well being of our patients is top priority. Poppy is a community cat at a nearby apartment complex. Her foster mom discovered that Poppy is super affectionate and loves to snuggle and be around people. She is also afraid during storms. It would be so sad to have to return Poppy to being an outside community cat. She is a tiny (adult) cat, probably weighs no more than 5 lbs. She is litter box trained and is very tidy. She is so appreciative of food, affection, and a comfortable house to live in while she has been recovering. She would be such a sweet and low maintenance companion for someone.

Power is back on and we will be open for limited hours today (noon to 5 pm) and with very limited staff and services.

We have power and we are still in process of trying to get our computer system and internet working , we will tentatively be open after 12 today and will be reaching out to reschedule appointments and surgeries. Stay posted for hours.

We hope everyone is safe, but like most of Houston, we are currently without power. We will plan on being closed tomorrow and we plan to keep everyone posted on the status of when we can reopen.

Our Story

Memorial Town & Country Animal Clinic was created with the needs of our clients and patients in mind. The facility has been a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) since 1969, which requires adherence to strict standards. Owner Dr. John M. Brasher is a Texas A&M graduate and has been in practice in the Memorial area of Houston for over 40 years. Co-owner veterinarian Dr. Mark Peterson also attended Texas A&M, and has been in practice for over 17 years.

Also in clinic are Dr. Karen Edwards, graduating in 1979, and Dr. April Inman, graduating in 2007. Both from Texas A&M.

The clinic is equipped to offer wellness services, spays, neuters, cat declaws, some orthopedics, wound repair, cold laser therapy, and many modern diagnostic services including ultrasound, radiology, electrocardiography (EKG), and in-house laboratory bloodwork. Once a diagnosis is made, we are staffed to meet most surgical and medical needs.

The well being of our patients is top priority, and our knowledgeable staff care about each of them as though they were their own.
