TNR kitties + friendly strays We are catching kitties to have them
spayed/neutered so there aren't thousands more.

My sweet foster Creamsicle has had seizures for several months. Now his horrible tasting medicines are not controling the seizures enough, so he needs an expensive MRI and specialist consult to get to the root of his seizures. Please go to Cuddly to read his story and donate if you can help.
Thank you!

It's a rough day for trappers.
The little girl Gray that we spayed in July was seen very skinny, but with a big belly.
As I suspected, it was FIP, so she was euthanized today.
It's better than suffering on the streets, but still sad.
One of our other other black ferals had to be euthanized Dec 19th.
Rest in peace, dear kitties. ❤

#16 (I think. There have been so many!)
This little girl was running around Maywood with her brother. We trapped her and got her neutered yesterday so she doesn't add to the large number of kitties running around this neighborhood.
I'm sitting here in the dark waiting for the brother to come back after he got scared away.
2 OTHER cats were trying to get the chicken in the trap, and had to be shooed away. It's his turn. 🤞

I caught a little black kitten, but not without a fight. A bite thru the thumb nail and 5 other bites to hands, but dang it girl, I wasn't letting her go!
She's a tough girl! Thinking about naming her Rocki or Ali. Lol
She is now safe and warm at the Little Paws kitten nursery where she purred for Jessica.

Mon: 3 trapped!
2 were buddies from The Port, the 3rd from my garage. 3rd kitty had to be released bc he was already ear-tipped. (Yay!)
Here's Orange 1's release. Watch him go! 😸
Pics and updates coming.

*** Update 7/12***
Sadly, we had to return her to the streets. She was not making any progress in being less scared. It's nearly impossible to find a home for a terrified cat. After talking to some experts, they said that it it would be best to return her to the place she knows. It's hard, but sometimes that's what you have to do. 😿
Luckily, there are people feeding the cats in that area, so hopefully they will be able to keep an eye out for her. 🤞Best wishes for you, sweet kitty!
***********************************************
However, this is not a forever home, so we still need someone who would like to give her the love and attention she needs. She will need a month or more of work to get her back to a happy, social kitty. If you want to REALLY make a difference in a kitty's life, here's your chance! If you are working from home, or not working, this would be the perfect time to do something that matters! :)

Adopt me!
Gray 1 is scared, but not feral. She let me pet her and licked wet food from my fingers.
She was likely dumped like so many others. 😿
You can see she has lots of Russian Blue in her bloodline, so she might be good for someone with allergies.
She has been spayed, de-flead, and vaccinated.

Blacky 3 and Gray 1.
Blacky 3 was caught in Alicia's back yard wilderness.
After her surgery, she was released and took off. A little later she was back for dinner. ❤
Gray is now available for
foster/adoption. She is very scared, and will need lots of love and some patience. Please text me if you have the time and heart to make a difference in this beautiful kitty's life!
Susan 414 350 0336 text plz. (I get far too many robo calls.)

On June 20th we released our first trapped and spayed kitty! It was hard to let her go, not knowing what would happen to her. She was one of the feral kitties at the Port of Long Beach area.
Sadly, it's hard enough to find a home for friendly kitties. Feral kitties have almost no chance. But at least she won't be contributing to the huge feral population.

Alicia had seen a mom with 2 kittens before I arrived, so we decided we should set some humane traps and try to get them.
We caught a thin young-ish kitty and went about setting up a multi level cage in the garage, so kitty could stay there until we had another spay/neuter appt next week.
We got kitty all settled, when we realized she had the low hanging pooch and ni***es of a possibly pregnant or nursing mom.
After careful consideration, we went back to see if we could find 2 kittens we had seen earlier. If they were hers, we could catch them too.
We looked all over, but no sight of kittens.
We made the difficult decision to release her in case she had kittens to care for.
It was very depressing and deflating. We were busting our butts to help control this population, and we had to release her.

We can celebrate another win. The other kitty we trapped was a sweet calico who was probably dumped there.
She has her spay appt next week! She is beautiful and friendly, so finding a home for her should be fairly easy. (She may have already become a part of Alicia's family, unofficially) 😻

A big thanks to my partner Alicia Kern! ❤
