🦃 Thanksgiving Pet Safety Tips! 🦃

As we gather around the table to give thanks, let’s not forget about our furry family members! While Thanksgiving is a time for indulgence, certain holiday traditions can pose risks to pets. Follow these tips to keep your pets safe and happy this holiday:

🍗 No table scraps, please – Turkey bones, fatty foods, and rich gravies can cause serious health issues like choking or pancreatitis. Stick to pet-safe treats instead!

🍇 Avoid toxic foods – Grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, and chocolate are all dangerous for pets. Keep these off their menu!

🌽 Be mindful of decorations – Small decorations or food wrappers can be choking hazards. Keep them out of paw’s reach!

🏠 Create a quiet space – Guests and holiday noise can be overwhelming for pets. Provide a cozy, quiet spot where they can relax.

🗑️ Secure the trash – The smells of leftover food can lead curious pets to rummage through the trash, so keep it secure!

💙🐾 Today is World Kindness Day!🐾💙

We wanted to highlight the importance of supporting your Veterinary Team!

Be Kind, Be Patient 🐾💙

At Sycamore Vet, we’re dedicated to caring for your beloved pets, but we also want to highlight the importance of caring for the people behind the scenes—your veterinarians and our entire veterinary team. 💖

This is why we support Not One More Vet (NOMV), a movement aimed at supporting the mental health of veterinary professionals. The challenges of the profession are real, and your kindness and patience can make a world of difference!

✨ How You Can Help:

Be kind: A simple thank-you goes a long way.

Be patient: We always strive to provide the best care, and sometimes things take time.

Support mental health: Remember that behind every dedicated vet or tech is a person working hard to help your pets live healthy, happy lives.

Veterinary professionals work tirelessly, often in high-stress environments, to care for your animals. Together, we can create a more compassionate and understanding atmosphere for both pets and the people who care for them. 🐾💙

Let’s lift each other up, support our veterinary teams, and always remember to be kind. 🌟

🤝🐾 Team Building Fun at Sycamore! 🐾🤝

Today, we took a break from our usual routine to focus on teamwork and connection—and had a blast in the process! Our team-building meeting was filled with laughter, creativity, and collaboration as we worked together on some unique challenges:

🍝 Pasta & Marshmallow Towers – Armed with pasta noodles and marshmallows, we challenged each other to build the tallest, most creative structures. Let’s just say, things got sticky (literally!), but the results were amazing!

(Congrats Jenna, Whitney, and Kelsey for the win!🥇)

🔍 Hospital Scavenger Hunt – We put our teamwork to the test with a scavenger hunt that took us all around the hospital. Relying on each other for clues and quick thinking, we found hidden spots and surprising clues. It was a great way to get to know each other better and sharpen our problem-solving skills!

Teamwork is at the heart of what we do every day, so investing in fun and connection like this helps us provide even better care for our clients and their beloved pets. 🐶🐱
