Kim Hall’s Sapphira Z takes the Championship in the 3’3 Greens WEC IX 🏆 Princess had scores of 86, 85, 85, 81 to take 🥇🥇🥈🥈 over fences and 🥇 in the hack. She was also second in the 3’3 Green Incentive. Such a special girl ❤️

Congratulations to Meredith Mouney’s Ocean Eyes on a successful Traverse City! “Ike” won his first Championship in the Young Hunters with Morgan Van Nortwick 🏆 Meredith decided to take the reins and show her baby horse for the very first time and they earned great ribbons out of a big group in the low adults! We can’t wait to see what Ike will accomplish in the future 🌟

Loved getting to team back up with Cumberland Blues the last two weeks at WEC! The baby cucumber picked up two class wins this week in the USHJA 2’6 and then went on to win with his mom Carrie in the baby greens! Thank you again to Carrie and Vivianne for letting me ride him 🥒 💚

I wish I had this video!! Back in 2003 JHF was still a relatively new concept, especially on the west coast, and it was held on the big grass field at Showpark. I was lucky enough to be catch riding for Archibald Cox on Montana Coady’s talented hunter Chance. For our handy round we had to dismount, trot our horses over an X, and then remount from the ground without any assistance. Proud to say I won that round and was Large Jr 16-17 Champion.

Man I would love to see that kind of class in action today! 🤣

One of my favorites Cabana Boy is available for lease! He is a 10 mover and incredible jumper. Very laid back, massive step, brave, auto change and easy prep. Very honored to be awarded the WCHR High Score Developing Pro at Traverse City 🏆 A huge thank you to Valerie Kalderon for making this trip up north happen and for always supporting me. This award, and the one from WEF, are from scores earned on Emerald Silver the best baby stallion that I am so lucky to have the ride on ♥️

We ended our time in Traverse City in a very special way! For the second time this year Silvio helped me win the WCHR High Score Developing Pro Award with an 88 in the 3’ Greens. Then he wow’d us with a 91 & 89.5 in the National Derby to end up 🥉Thank you Val for supporting this trip up north we love it up here!

Silvio once again remains the king of consistency during WCHR Spring III with an 88, 87, 87, and 86 over fences to take home 🥇🥉🥉 & 4th. This young stallion impresses me to no end. Thank you to Valerie for supporting this trip up north, to my team back home, and Jacob Pope for all your help the last two weeks!

The always stunning Kobe

While Kobe was not booked to be a part of the photoshoot that took place on our farm this particular day, he couldn’t help catching the photographer’s eye while being his exquisitely beautiful self out in the paddock. Introducing Boston to the OB sales lineup!

To say he is a top hack prize would be an understatement! Since starting his hunter career in 2021 he has won the hack 12 times, 2nd 8 times, 3rd 7 times, and 4th 4 times. In 2021 he collected multiple 3’ and 3’3 Green Championships. That year at the WIHS Regionals he was Champion in both the 3’ USHJA and 3’ Greens, and was Reserve Champion in the Adults. In 2022 he started his Children’s Hunter career in the 14 & under division and collected five tricolors. In 2023 he stepped back into the adult ring to earn a championship at the Summer Rockies and also debuted in the 3’3 A/O’s. Boston is still currently eligible for his 3’6 Green year and also has experience in both the children’s and adult 3’ equitation medals. He is a beautiful type with hack winning movement and a fabulous jump. Please PM for more info and videos!

A huge thank you to Jennifer Rhodes for choosing Opening Bell to represent your talented horse. As a fellow professional I understand how hard the choice can be when deciding where to send your own horse and I just want to say Abby and I both very much appreciate you recognizing our program and trusting it was the right place to showcase Boston’s talent.

Wisely stays consistent with an 88.5 in the handy for 7th and 87.75 in the Stake for 6th! So proud of him for jogging in every class and ribboning in 3 of them. I haven’t been to Devon in five years and couldn’t have asked for him to be more perfect. Thank you to Val for everything and Jake Parker Wymard for coming up to be on team Wisely this week - Derby day tomorrow!

Wisely kicks off Devon with an 87 & 89 in the High Performance to finish 9th and 6th out of incredible company! Couldn’t be happier with him and so thankful to Valerie Kalderon to have this opportunity to ride such an amazing horse at this prestigious venue. Looking forward to finishing out the division tomorrow and the derby on Thursday!

“Bentley” is one you will definitely get noticed on! His gorgeous coloring and socks are only upstaged by his hack winning movement. And the judges seem to agree with his 7 hack wins and 7 tricolors in the last year. He is currently in his second pregreen year showing 3’3 with a pro and with an amateur in the adults. He is a kick ride and very brave.

Congratulations to Lily Gumenick’s Fine Line (previously Whitehall) & Ada Cosby on their 3’3 Green Championship two weeks in a row! Over the weekend Lily took the reins on her boy and was Reserve Champion in the 3’3 A/Os and 2nd in the Classic! We love watching our sales graduates thrive in their new homes. Bittersweet day as I congratulate Morgan England on the purchase of my sweet Bentley (Hoku Du Rouet). I am beyond happy he has a found a wonderful home with Morgan and that I get to visit with him when he comes to WEC. Looking forward to future updates from you two ♥️

Blown away on the update Randy Sherman sent me this morning of my four year old New Romantics. We tried Newman during my trip this past December and we watched him take his first jumps under tack during our trial. I knew I had to have him! Since then Randy has taken his time diligently producing him - how lucky am I to be partners with not only one of my oldest friends (30 years) but such an incredible horseman and talent. You can clearly see in the videos the bond and trust Newman has for him and he gives him 100% effort on every jump. If you’re considering buying a young horse overseas and need someone you trust to develop them while they stay in Europe for a while I highly reccomend reaching out to Randy. Your future horse will thank you and you will not regret it. I am so excited bout Newman’s future and can’t thank Randy and his wife Kari enough for everything they do for him and my other baby Liam. The future looks exciting ✨

For the second week a row Midnight Dream & Abby Strohmeyer snag a tricolor in the USHJA 2’9 at WEC! Enough points to tie for Champion but we point our toes too good so Reserve it is! So grateful to Abby and her wonderful partnership with Kobe - you make him shine so bright 💫

The wind was absolutely crazy yesterday with a drop in temp and some rain during the National Derby which proved to be challenging for a lot of horses. This was only Silvio’s third derby so with that and weather in mind we decided to keep it simple with low options. I am so proud of him for laying down a beautiful trip in those conditions and he actually had the highest base score of 85 in the first round and was standing second overall out of over 30 entries. The handy we again kept it simple with no tight turns and low options to lay down another consistent beautiful trip with an 83.75 score to end up 6th overall. I am thrilled with all of his performances this week and to say I am impressed with how he continues to step up would be an understatement given this is only his first year of doing the hunters.

Wisely laid down an absolutely beautiful trip today in the Derby Regional Championships here in Traverse, and although we had unfortunately had the last rail down I am really proud of how consistent our rounds have been all year and how our partnership keeps progressing. We know each other so well now and feel like we’ve really hit a groove together. He is jumping amazing and seems to keep getting better and better with each class. Thank you as always to Val and Lisa for the opportunity to showcase this one in a million horse, Ricardo for turning out our horses so impeccably, and to my team back home for your support and for making trips like this possible. Looking forward to the spectacular next week!

Silvio left Aiken with top ribbons out of incredible company in the 3’ greens. He put in a gorgeous round in the 3’/3’3 Green Classic with just one baby mistake. So proud of him for going into a spooky grand prix ring and jumping around flawlessly - even a vertical vertical one stride! Feeling ready for summer!

Alchemist Z continues to impress us! I can’t say enough good things about Tommy. He was imported end of March only green backed and he has progressed so quickly. He is incredibly willing, brave, and so so smart. I feel very fortunate to be developing such a special young one, especially since I have been waiting a long time to get my hands on a Timmy sibling! Tommy is everything I dreamed and more 💕 Also a big thank you to Abby for all of your help with him - couldn’t do it without you and wouldn’t want to!
