Hello Companion family,
We are pleased to announce consistent hours Monday through Friday with our two new doctors: Doctors Pauline Bowser and Kevin Jones.
We require 5-7 advance notice for all medication refills. We recommend utilizing a pill tray so it allows for you to plan as you will see your prescription run low before it is too late. Last minute notice could mean your pet will be out of medication for several days so please plan ahead!

I wanted to share with you that pet should be seen immediately if ingests water from an algae bloom water source. Do not make vomit!

Companion Animal Hospital will be closing for a hospital meeting on Monday from 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM. We will be open 7:30 to 12:30 PM
and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Just a reminder that road construction from Brighton-Henrietta Townline Road will continue through this week and is tying up traffic on West Henrietta Road in both directions.

We will have our new normal hours this week!

There is construction on Brighton- Henrietta Townline Road until the first week of August. West Henrietta Road is very slow moving! Please give yourself extra time!

This is an important announcement for people taking their pets to Canada and back to the U.S.
Changes are being implemented requiring owners to have their pets microchipped to reenter the U.S. This also applies car travel and we can foresee a holdup at the border when trying to reenter. Expense & delayed reentry falls to the owner.

Here are two websites you should review closely if additional paperwork needs to be processed by an accredited veterinarian BEFORE you go to Canada.

We will reopen for med pickup only on Friday 7/5/24 7:30 AM-5:00 PM.

For those pets that are reactive to Fireworks should be on or given their medication before Fireworks begin as the veterinarian directed. Help drown out the sound with music or hang out in the basement, with your pet, in a relaxed state. Everyone stay safe and enjoy the holiday!

We have welcomed back Dr Kevin Jones from ROC Pet Rehab on Mondays and in late July, we will welcome Dr Pauline Boswer on Tuesdays. We will remain closed on Saturdays.

Our website is in process of being updated and will reflect hours for Dr Bowser.

There will only be updates to Facebook when a doctor is off.

I appreciate all of you and your concerns while Companion is in transition! We are growing our staff and look forward to when we are able to serve all your needs! If we are unable to take your calls for appointments, please reach out to Pittsford Animal Hospital for Urgent Care needs otherwise call us when we are open. When we are able to take your calls, we can help direct you if we are unable to meet your situation. The health and safety of your pet is still our priority!

Please call us for medication refills. Another hospital cannot refill medications unless your pet was seen there. All emails are handled in 24-48 business hours so if your medication refill is urgent, please call us!
