So we have a new type of bird on the ranch. It enjoys eating seed out of the bird feeder, eating grass, and likes to hide during the day.

Well, we had twins on the ranch this weekend, just not sheep.

Gorgeous March day here at Sisters Soay Sheep in Sisters OR. Girls are loving the back pasture and you can see the boys watching them in the back.

Good morning from Sisters Soay Sheep. It’s a beautiful February morning in Oregon and these visitors made it even more special.

Happy April 4th! We have a snow storm but the old boys are braving it to find the girls. Too bad they have tucked themselves into their barn!

Hello All. The Deschutes County Sheriff's rescue farm has a Soay or Soay X whether for adoption. He is 2 years old and his name is Durango. Not sure if that's his name or just given to him by those at the farm. It's a little unusual to have a Soay in this area that isn't from a breeder. Please take a look and see if you recognize the animal. Would like to see him go to a home where he has friends. Also, if you have any information please pm me. Thanks!!

Saying hi to the girls on a beautiful evening. They aren’t to interested in me tonight as I don’t have grain to bribe them. The ram is Gus Gus. For those that remember Justice he is his grandson.

We have some beautiful rams that need to start or become part of a new flock. They come to a bucket and have great personalities. If you are thinking to start your own flock, I have a few ewes that can go along with a ram.

We are done with lambing and have 5 little ones tearing up the pasture. We had twins(both rams) another ram and two beautiful ewes. Mamas are all fine and doing well. We will check back in when we’ve got them named.

This is what you have to do when the sheep get out. Lazy mans herding.

Hello Everyone!! We made it through the first round of snow but are expecting a few more storms to blow through. This one brought us about 4-5 inches. It’s beautiful right now but cold at 14 degrees F. As you can see the girls are out braving the temperatures and foraging but boys are snuggling together in their houses. Heath is working to get snow removed before the next round of snow. For all of you in the path of storms please stay safe.
