The Boarding at VCA Woodland South offers luxury, state of the art facilities providing pampered boarding for your pets.

Accommodations include large indoor runs, cleaning and ventilation systems, and non-slip flooring. Dogs are walked four to six times a day in our numerous, spacious, and landscaped yards. Cats are housed in a separate area, away from barking dogs, to reduce stress. Our sunny cattery features spacious condos that include separate areas for relaxing, eating and play. We provide comfortable bedding,

immaculate housekeeping and two meals daily. Our guests receive daily exercise, brushing, love, and attention. Our expert groomer with over 20 years of experience will make your pet look and feel great and pampered.

Next up in our week of appreciation, we are celebrating Maggie! Maggie has been with us for 2 years now! Maggie always has a great attitude and is always willing to pitch in and help around the hospital when needed. She also has the magic touch making some of our more nervous kiddos feel safe and at home during their stay here. You can often find Maggie Cuddling with our boarders when she not hard at work! When Maggie is not at work she is caring for her ESA German Shepard Delta Jade and her kitty Ghost, from going on long walks to car rides! In her free time, Maggie loves taking Delta on adventures, cosmetology and tattooing! Thank you for everything you do Maggie

Next in our lineup is Kacee! Kacee has been with us for 4 years and has been our Pet Care Supervisor for the past year! Kacee works hard at making sure your kiddos feel safe while at their "home, away from home". She's got a good eye at spotting any abnormal behaviors and subtle cues that show any discomfort so she can get right on making them feel at ease! Kacee recently got married last November and has welcomed a new Kitten into her home "Magic"! Kacee has 5 dogs; Lola Raven, Zeus, Buggs Buddy, Dozzer, Hecate, and 2 tabby cats Magic and Sage, Kacee is always surrounded by four legged friends! When Kacee is not at work you can find her out and about with her German Shepard/Great Pyrenees Buggs Buddy working on his AKC Titles, Buggs is a registered "Canine Good Citizen" and "Trick" title holder. They are currently working on his "VSWT" title (Scent Work) and "Fit Dog" title. Thank you for all that you do!

This week we celebrate our appreciation for our Pet Care team. Starting off strong, we have KJ! KJ has been with us for a year and has a special knack for helping the most anxious kiddos feel at home! She will spot the smallest signs of stress or unease, and she really goes above and beyond, from giving extra blankets, offering hand feeding, giving some one on one play time in the yard, giving extra treats, and spending quality time in a kennel to provide extra comfort! In her free time, KJ enjoys going on adventures with her Daughter Athena and her pup Eris, she just welcomed a new 5 week old kitten "Creed" into her home. Thank you for everything you do KJ!

When we asked Heather how she would describe herself in 3 words, she said “Sour Patch Kid” heather has a wonderful sense of humor and is always filling the clinic full of laughter! When she’s not at the Front desk you can often find her in exam rooms or treatment working hard to help patients feel at ease. She is a great team player and is always there to give extra cuddles to the animals that need it the most! We appreciate all the hard work you do Heather!!

Today we celebrate Becky! Becky has been in the veterinary field for 13 years and with the VCA family for 8 years. Becky has one of the most contagious laughs you’ll ever have the pleasure of hearing. You can always find Becky helping technicians when they are short staffed, to answering phones to get your babies scheduled! One of her many nicknames throughout the clinic is “Multi-Task Becky”. When she’s not helping your 4 legged family members, you can find Becky impacting the Hospital in many other ways. One of her passions is recycling, she has made a huge impact on turning the hospital Green! Becky does her job with excellence and always works hard to provide the best care possible for clients and their four legged family members! Thank you for all you do Becky!
