Words can’t describe all the emotions from this past weekend. Samba and I went up to Lake Erie College in Ohio to try our hand at PSG for the second time. Samba was amazing and we stepped up to the plate, getting a 64% on Saturday and a 61% on Sunday. And with those 2 scores we have earned our USDF silver medal!
It’s been such a long journey with so many set backs and tears. But it was all worth it when we set foot in the ring this weekend. Thanks so my Mom for believing us and supporting us on our journey. To Mike for all the training and believing that me and Samba can do this. And all the other members of my team who helped me make this happen. Go Samba!

We took Percy down to the indoor to watch him trot. He was a good sport although he couldn’t figure out why we were chasing him around. He’s very sensible and clever. If you’re interested in a sound, sane young horse give me a shout. He’s for sale and his price will only go up from here.
It’s hard to describe all my feelings from this weekend. Several years ago I took on the ride on my mom’s horse Samba. I knew having a dressage horse I could use to learn would be priceless for my riding and my business.
It’s been a long few years with lots of sweat and tears. But this past weekend Samba and I debuted at Prix St George at the WEC dressage show. Words can’t describe how proud I am of Samba for how hard she tried for me over this weekend, and over the past several years.
Our test were far from perfect but I’m so proud of how far we have come.

Bright Moon Eventing proudly (and regretfully) offers Wild Rumpus for consideration. Shark, as we call him, is a very special horse so he requires a very special ad. He’s a 2016 model OTTB that trained briefly at the track but failed out very quickly. I got him three years ago and I’ve taken his training slow because his body was still growing and slow to mature, as was his mind. Now standing at 17 hands, he’s grown into a lovely horse and he’s ready for his next person.
Shark is currently competing BN Eventing and is ready for his move up to novice this spring. He has more than enough scope and bravery to go preliminary. He is super brave and bold to the fences and has a lovely gallop. He’s forward and enthusiastic but has no buck or rear and is safe. But he’s not for the timid rider as he enjoys his job. He is good in dressage and can score competitively but his love is the jumping.
He’s sound, no previous injuries or lameness. He stands for the vet and farrier, trailers, and cross ties. He loves people and attention and will stand to be cuddled for hours. Had my last event of the season yesterday at Waredaca. Sharkie was a good baby horse and has figured out cross country. We can home with a pretty pink ribbon and a fantastic last event of the season. I can’t wait to take him out again in the spring!

This weekend Samba and I started our quest for our USDF silver medal. This was our first time showing 4th level at a licensed show and I couldn’t have been prouder about how Samba stepped up and tried for me. She was especially good for her canter quarter pirouettes.
