Our Willow (who's actually our hospital manager's furkid ๐) came from a life of neglect and overbreeding. Overbred so much that she would not have survived giving birth to the litter she was expecting when we rescued her.
Motherly love is something she still remembers. She nurtured and offered her teets to a puppy surrendered to us today. Even though she no longer has milk and the puppy wasn't hers, she still proudly treated the little one as if she was her own.
Animals are amazing ๐ถโค๏ธ

We were alerted to a "moving box" on a field next to the N2; we responded.
This was the saddest, most heartbreaking discovery we have ever made๐ข
Inside the box was a puppy whose front legs were bandaged. We brought the pup to our hospital and when the bandages were removed we found that part of not one, but both her front legs were missing.
We are sickened to the core by the cruelty in this world.
We sent her peacefully over the rainbow bridge ๐ as amputating both her front legs were not an option.
Rest well little girl, you were too precious for this world ๐ถ๐

It has been a very trying and difficult 'kitten season' this year. Literally hundreds of extremely sick and often dying babies (and mommies) have been through our doors. It is heartbreaking.
We were very happy when these healthy little angels came to us.
Tom Thumb was literally dumped on our doorstop by someone who couldnt even be bothered to check if we were open. Luckily our CEO was driving out the other gate when he saw this appalling act and managed to get this precious boy to safety. We cant even begin to imagine where he would have ended up... clearly malnourished he is very little for his age hence his name.
Thumbalina was surrendered by her owner like so many other unwanted kittens.
These happy and human loving cuties have become firm friends and would love to find them a home together.

And here it is. Videos of the reunion. An emotional experience, leaving many of us teary. Tears of happiness, and tears of sadness for what Zeus and Matthew suffered for almost 2 years.
Zeus will continue to come to the PDSA for treatment of his mange, so watch our page for updates of his transformation. ๐๐๐พ๐พ
A memory popped up of our dear Wallace the other day and its hard to even believe that this is the same broken soul that endured years of abuse and neglect. This dear soul thrives on love and affection and he has taught us that defeat is not an option; we have to conquer and continue conquering...today we would like to say thank you to Wallace for adding so much value to our lives, for giving us so much joy and for living and loving each and every day as if it was his last...
Just another day in the office. Spring has finally sprung, and all the residents at the PDSA are as happy as can be.๐พ๐๐๐ด๐ข
A special thanks to Marina and her group of friends. Her birthday was celebrated by donating and planting 15 trees at our Bridgetown premises. Greenpop facilitated the process and everyone had a great time...thank you for your kindness shown towards our animals and staff :)
