Furkidz Birmans

Furkidz Birmans Breeding Beautiful Blue-eyed Birman Babies I am a Registered Breeder with the "NSW Cat Fanciers' Association".

Furkidz kittens are bred firstly for health and temperament. Most kittens will be sold as pets, but show quality kittens may sometimes be available. Even if you donโ€™t buy a kitten from me... Make sure you choose a Registered Breeder. It is the only way to be sure you are getting the real deal. We are just regular people who love cats enough to do the right thing by them and the kittens we sell.

POSTING ON BEHALF OF SOMEONE WHO BOUGHT 2 KITTENS FROM ME MANY YEARS AGO - is anyone looking for a senior Birman??

___________________________________________________________________

Iโ€™m looking for a loving home for my 14.5 year old Birman, Max. Heโ€™s been lonely since his best friend passed away in Dec 22, but refuses to be friends with the dogs and come out of his rooms in the house. He loves a good cuddle and a conversation.

He is an inside only cat, he is on vet diet food to keep his renal function good. At the moment he gets a shave every 3/4 months; but would love to be brushed if his new owner preferred.

Looking for a pet free household, may be ok with other cats and dogs but would depend on temperament and how they are introduced.

Please contact me via messenger if interested and I can put you in direct contact with the current owner.

I can't take credit for this but itโ€™s true!

THE CAT'S VERSION OF "THE RULES"

BATHROOMS: Always accompany guests to the bathroom. It is not necessary to do anything. Just sit and stare.

DOORS: Do not allow any closed doors in any room. To get the door open, stand on hind legs and hammer with forepaws. Once door is opened, it is not necessary to use it. After you have ordered an "outside" door opened, stand halfway in and out and think about several things. This is particularly important during very cold weather, rain, snow, or mosquito season.

CHAIRS AND RUGS: If you have to throw up, get to a chair quickly. If you cannot manage in time, get to an Oriental rug. If there is no Oriental rug, s**g is good. When throwing up on the carpet, make sure you back up so it is as long as a human's bare foot.

HAMPERING: If one of your humans is engaged in some activity, and the other is idle, stay with the busy one. This is called "helping," otherwise known as "hampering." Following are the rules for hampering:

When supervising cooking, sit just behind the left heel of the cook. You cannot be seen and thereby stand a better chance of being stepped on and then picked up and comforted.
For book readers, get in close under the chin, between eyes and book -- unless you can lie across the book itself.
When human is working at computer, jump up on desk, walk across keyboard, bat at mouse pointer on screen, and then lay in human's lap across arms, hampering typing in progress.

WALKING: As often as possible, dart quickly and as close as possible in front of the human, especially: on stairs, when they have something in their arms, in the dark, and when they first get up in the morning. This will help their coordination skills.

BEDTIME: Always sleep on the human at night so he/she cannot move around.

LITTER BOX: When using the litter box, be sure to kick as much litter out of the box as possible. Humans love the feel of kitty litter between their toes.

HIDING: Every now and then, hide in a place where the humans cannot find you. Do not come out for three to four hours under any circumstances. This will cause the humans to panic (which they love) thinking that you have run away or are lost. Once you do come out, the humans will cover you with love and kisses, and you probably will get a treat.

ONE LAST THOUGHT: Whenever possible, get close to a human, especially their face, turn around, and present your butt to them. Humans love this, so do it often. And don't forget the guests.

Oh so true!

Today we said goodbye to our dear friend Pam Coyte of Minosa Birmans.

Pammie was our mentor when we first started breeding and remained a dear friend, always generous with sharing her experiences and knowledge and a true ambassador for the Birman breed.

The Birmam Cat world has lost a true gem.
Pam held the position of President of the Birman Cat Club of Australasia for a number of years and was well know at cat shows.
Our annual Birman Cat Show was the culmination of many months of planning and was a credit to Pamโ€™s selfless efforts over many years.

We love you Pammie and miss you so much. You sure gave your all and have left a huge hole in our hearts.

RIP our dear friend.

Very proud mumma moment yesterday.
With 5 cats living here you'd think mice wouldn't be a problem - but they are :-(

Yesterday little Jesse Cat caught me a mousie!!!

She was so proud of herself - as was I. But she wasn't so happy that I took away her catch.

We have some baits around so I can't be too careful.

See - Birmans aren't just pretty!
