Our goal: to cut your food bill, without compromising on the quality, freshness and variety of food. With minimal effort, minimal packaging and food miles, and still paying farmers and suppliers a fair price for their produce. Box Divvy is Community owned and

run. This is a fruit veg and grocery cooperative. It's an OPT OUT so if not wanting an order you must suspend by Sunday 9pm. We purchase as a group up to 40% cheaper than supermarkets. It’s a Smart coop and you get more of what you want than a normal coop. Box Divvy is a food box sharing system connecting growers & food producers directly with the Food. 4 DAY ORDER CYCLE –FOR Thursday pick up

Saturday 9pm – Order creation
It’s an OPT OUT SYSTEM so if you don’t want an order for the coming week, you must suspend prior to Sunday 9pm. Your “WISH LIST VOTE” and any changes you wish to make to your household size must also be done by Sunday 9pm. Sunday - Starting Order Published
Login take up to 3 things out and JOIN SPLITS. Tuesday 9pm - CUTOFF
Orders closed. Cards charged. There are 2 automatic processing’s, if those both decline - a $5 recharge fee is applied as it pays for someone to manually reprocess. You must pay BEFORE pick-up. Thursday- PICK UP. You must pick up day of delivery at the pick-up time or arrange with Hubster. PAYMENTS
You must pay for your order once committed to an order cycle. It's OPT OUT. So if you don't want an order suspend before orders are created. Once in an Order Cycle we cannot withdraw an order. Have you tried Grants toothpaste and mouth wash?

Not only is it Australian owned, but it’s also as natural a toothpaste as you can get:
• No Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) which is an industrial cleaner that helps the foaming process, found in most toothpaste (and shampoo and other personal cleaning products for that matter). Some research links over-exposure to mouth ulcers and allergies.
• No Sodium Hydroxide (or caustic soda aka drain cleaners) found in many toothpaste brands. Do we need to say more??
• No Chlorine dioxide – an industrial bleach. Duh.
• No polypropylene glycol – a spreading and wetting agent.
• No saccharine – an artificial sweetener that has been on the on-and-off list of FDA for causing cancer. Xylitol is a better option.
• No fluoride. This is a common ingredient in toothpaste to help prevent tooth decay, and does not appear to have side effects – unless swallowed. That is why there are warnings on toothpaste packs (1) not to swallow, and (2) not to use fluoride toothpaste for kids under 6.

Yes - the toothpaste is available at Colesworth.

Two days of the week that I rate pretty high are Thursdays (our hub delivery day) and also Saturdays - Box Divvy chilled items delivery day.

One of our staple delivery items is the whole free range chicken.
Why? Because there is:
- no chlorine and other chemical sanitiser bathing
- no water/sodium mixture that is injected (can account for 15-20% of its weight)
- no modified atmosphere packaging (harmless gas, but extends shelf life by up to 10 days)

Have you ever roasted a supermarket bought whole chicken, and thought... 'Um wasn't the chicken bigger before roasting?!' That'll be the water/sodium mixture that some supermarket chicken is injected with.

Our 'Handler' supplied whole chicken arrived yesterday and there was zero shrinkage - there never is. Which means, I only need to purchase one whole chook to feed my family of five - which includes two teen boys.

Once the chilled meat items arrive of a Saturday, you have 1 to 2 days to cook, eat and enjoy - or freeze for later. This means you are eating fresh fresh and flavoursome food. Makes Colesworth's approx. 10 day shelf life seem kinda weird!

Soups are an easy winter warmer, but often call for stock.
Do you buy or make your own stock?

If you've thought it's too hard to make your own stock, then please read on...

Homemade stock is the way to go, fresh and delicious. Either choose your vege ingredients and or make stock with left over scraps. Using vege scraps is super easy, saves you money and reduces food waste.

You need: a stock bowl and vege scraps (if it's a part of a vegetable you don't want to eat, it probably belongs in the stock bowl).
- From the papery skin on garlic cloves and onions to wilted radish tops to carrot shavings not forgetting Parmesan cheese rinds.
- Throw in some whole aromatic veggies, in addition to whatever scraps you have, into the pot for stock and season with salt/pepper. - Bring to boil, simmer for about 30 mins, let cool, strain and use or freeze into portions.

We get our next delivery Thursday morning, which means I'm looking for ways to use up whatever we still have! Sadly I already ate my roast vege pies from Shepherds Bakery 🥲

I've got a very crunchy salad made with left overs of:
1/4 cup cooked quinoa
10 Baby spinach leaves
Coriander
3 Cherry toms
1/2 an avocado
1 Celery stalk
1 radish
2 thin slices of Red onion

With a squeeze of lemon and a pinch of salt.
