4 DAY ORDER CYCLE –FOR Wednesday pick up

Before 9pm Friday as a courtesy for your Hubster if you do not wish an order login, go to MY ORDERS, dropdown ‘skip a week’ and tick the date not wanting an order. If you do fortnightly then this is the place to go to organise your orders. You get an email. Note Star Products at the top of the list in SPLITS tab. These are recommendations by your Hubster. The green dollar sign products are good value. Start your order in Marketplace then go to your SPLITS tab. This is explained in your Welcome email. Monday 9pm - CUTOFF
Orders closed. Cards charged. There are 2 automatic processing’s, if those both decline - a $5 recharge fee is applied as it pays for someone to manually reprocess. You must pay BEFORE pick-up. Wednesday - PICK UP. You must pick up day of delivery at the pick-up time or arrange with Hubster. PAYMENTS
You must pay for your order once committed to an order cycle. It's OPT OUT. So if you don't want an order, you’ll need to suspend before orders are created. Once in an Order Cycle we cannot withdraw an order. It is your responsibility to suspend the correct weeks. If your payment declines twice there is a $5 recharge fee applied to the third attempt. Ice block recipe #4

Today we’re trying a mango, pineapple and coconut splice.

Just blend the flesh of a mango and pop in your ice blocks moulds and freeze for 30 minutes.
Blend a cup of pineapple and add to the moulds and freeze for another 30 minutes.
Mix together the juice of a lime, coconut milk or coconut cream and you can add a teaspoon of maple syrup if you like for some sweetness. Add that mix on top of your moulds and freeze for at least 3 hours.

You can also use a paper cup and pop sticks if you don’t have ice pop moulds.

Looking forward to trying this one with thr kids this afternoon after a hot day!

Super excited that Mango season is starting!!!

Super excited that Mango season is starting!!!

Fruit

Hey fruit and veggie fans. The warm weather has kicked our produce into high gear, and the fruit flush is real. Stonefruit lovers, rejoice. Nectarines and peaches are finally looking gorgeous and under $20/kg. We’ve been eyeing these beauties like hawks, waiting for quality and price to align and now they’ve delivered.

Mango alert: KP and RTE2 trays are rolling in, so grab them now. Prices will drop as the season peeks.

Strawberries in Victoria are in full swing with 500g punnets at $5.79. They’re sweet, juicy, and basically begging to be eaten by the handful. Some members tell us the punnet is empty when they get home.

Vegetables
• Corn: $1.50 sweet, crunchy, perfect for BBQs or sneaky snacking.
• Greens: Beans, snowpeas, sugar snaps are back. Sugar snaps? Delicious raw, stir-fried, or tossed in a salad.
• Italian flat beans: Sporadic but glorious. Normally $20/kg but now under $10/kg. Try this: Quick Flat Bean Stir-Fry: sauté in olive oil, garlic, a squeeze of lemon, and finish with parmesan. Boom and dinner is sorted.
Other veg goodies at good prices: cabbage, broccoli, capsicum, carrots, cucumbers, basil and other herbs. Lettuces, eggplant, and zucchini are also flavoursome at this time of year.

Tomatoes are in season change so Roma and Field are a little tight moving from Queensland to South Australia growing areas, but we’ve local grape tomatoes from Golden Fields and Truss tomatoes that are good value.

Basically: fruit is juicy, veg is cheap, and your fridge is about to be the happiest place on earth. Go forth, Box Divvyers, and fill your baskets.

Yes! We love Box Divvy!

A new study shows that joining a local food co-op like Box Divvy can help people eat healthier and feel more confident about putting good food on the table.

The study was done by Western Sydney University and the University of Wollongong. It looked at how our friends at Box Divvy support families across Sydney.

Here’s what they found after talking to over 2,000 members:

- People were less likely to skip meals or buy less healthy food
- Fruit and vegetable intake went up, especially for people who were doing it tough
- On average, members ate 2.5 more serves of fruit and 3.3 more serves of vegetables each week
- The biggest improvements were seen in young adults, single parents, and families with lower incomes.

These small changes can help people move closer to a healthier diet - and lower their risk of long-term health problems like type 2 diabetes.
