It is with heavy hearts that we had to say goodbye to Mirza this weekend.
He has been fighting a battle with lymphoma since December of 2022, and was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. In his most recent months, his quality of life declined, and we felt it was best to lay him to rest.
Mirza loved butt smacks, crinkle toys and loved to groom anyone that would let him.
His favourite activities consisted of staring out sunny windows around the clinic and enjoy all the naps he could get.
To our beloved 14 year old, three legged, clinic catโฆ thank you for always brightening up our day with your big beady eyes, and welcoming personality.
We will miss you dearly๐๐
Rest easy Mirza๐
Itโs the 1st of the month, which means this is your reminder to give your pets heartworm/tick preventionโผ๏ธ #tick #heartworm #doglover #vetmedicine
As senior month comes to an end, our last candidate is Pearl! Pearl is one of our regular patients that has been treated with Solensia and her owners have noticed a massive change. She is now going on walks and has even chased bunnies, squirrels and grasshoppers again this summer.
At the clinic we have noticed that Pearl seems so much happier and will even let us give her a small cuddle when she visits us.
Solensia is a monthly injection to control Osteoarthities pain in cats. OA pain occurs when joint tissues wear down and bones rub against one another. Monoclonal antibodies target nerve growth, binds to control pain and limits release of pro inflammatory mediators and lower neurogenic inflammation.
Please ask us for a link to a checklist for activities and behaviour that may be OA or book an appointment to discuss your cats pain!
