SPANIEL TIME 😁😱⚡️💥

We are looking forward to welcoming The Three Shires Spaniel Meet for their annual test on the 1st September. Always a great day it will be a fabulous atmosphere, lots of smiles and exciting dogs .

Just to let you all know the consistent soggy weather has thrown another spanner in the works. From today it has been necessary to put some cattle on the VALLEY ground earlier than usual. These animals are very used to dogs and the sound of shot but it is essential that they do not get chased or made to run on that steep and difficult terrain. Unless you are completely confident in all dogs in your party we ask that you cancel your visit. My sincere apologies for any inconvenience the weather this year has beaten us :( ps this does not affect the technical area.

Yesterday we saw a minor breed retriever team test organised by the fabulous NEFRA team. It was fascinating to see the knowledgeable judges ( Jane Fairclough, Sarah Middleton and Susan Rogers) appreciate the different skills specific to each breed. The atmosphere was fantastic we very much enjoyed the day. I will post a link to what I am sure will be outstanding images captured by Shirebrook Photography as soon as available.

A lovely few days with Jane and Sarah. As always they were well thought out days tailored to needs of the groups. Some exciting young dogs building confidence and knowledge when tackling obstacles, to advanced work stretching the more experienced in the valley. I am looking forward to next time 😁
