'Dog Socialisation' - Airedale Terrier Puppy Male With An Adult Dog Female - Video1
In this video you'll see the 7 months of age male Airedale Terrier learning social interactions with my stooge dog Sandie 🐕
Socialising puppies & adolescent age dogs is an important subject to get right, I suggest you work with balanced dogs who will help your young dog to learn boundaries, respect and space.
Also finding someone who can help you to navigate this experience is imperative, so make sure to do your research and ask questions of the professionals and avoid people in social media groups who think they know what they're doing, although they have never guided anyone through dog behaviour reformation in their lives 🙄

Assessment of client & their dog entering the environment they use on a regular basis.
I checked for any potential risks to the dog before stepping back, then I gave my client free time with their dog so I can see how they both go about the initial stage of handling this location.
Potential Risks:
- Dogs out of control
- People running / cycling / using scooters (adults & children)
- Works going on in the vicinity (building, digging etc)
- Sports going on such as Football, Rugby, things being thrown
- Vehicles moving on the pathways, fields etc
Can you guess the dog breed in the video?
Sandie out working today with me she’s an incredible stooge dog 🐕
She knows when to give space and how to communicate that she wants her own space if dogs are being over zealous.
My clients are also doing amazing with their dogs and deserve credit for being vigilant and considerate of the environment and other dogs 🌟
Emotional responses in owners when dogs are out of control 🐕🦮🐩🐕🦺☯️
This week is difficult for me as it's one year ago when Luna was very unwell and staying at the vets going through a major operation which was totally unexpected.
Halloween will be one year since Luna passing, and I still struggle with her not being physically with me, although I know her spirit is always with me and often feel here presence at home, and when I'm out with Sandie on our walks.
Losing a dog is a horrid experience, when I lost Luna she was not only my dog, she was my best friend, work colleague & soul mate and her absence has left a huge void in my life.
I have experienced depression throughout the year, and I am fortunate to be aware of how I'm feeling through my time studying & working as a counsellor before I got into dog behaviour work.
If you are finding things difficult after the passing of a dog please seek support from people who will allow you the time, space & patience to go through the times of grieving and possibly exploring ways to move forward in life.
I have recently had a lot of physical therapies to help release physical & emotional blocks, and also much deep therapy in terms of hypnotherapy / psychoanalytical therapy.
This has all combined to help me to make gradual improvements in lifting my depression, and how my body functions in terms of feeling more at ease and helping with long term injuries.
I believe that working on my mental health, combined with physical health is what I need to give myself the best chance to be how I want to be, without holding back and doing the best for my dog Sandie who is incredible in every way.
Helping myself in getting the support & guidance that I require, has helped me to give my clients a better level of service as I am more aware of how I am being in each moment. If I am not in the right state of mind, then I take the decision to do the right thing for me and my clients by taking time to heal & move forward, then return to service when appropriate.
Have a great day 🙏

Extreme Dog Reactivity Assessment & Guidance.
Part 1 of the video is my assessment of this young female Rottweiler's reactionary response to the dog in the distance.
Part 2 is after my guidance in which you will hear & see a dog on the veranda of a nearby property as the dog & her owner pass by without any reactions from the Rottweiler.
Well done to my client for helping her dog feel more at ease with the presence of a dog barking loudly close by 👏

Recent Client Feedback:
‘Hi John, we are making progress. Slowly but it’s definitely there.
She will have noticeable phases whilst out walking where she won’t pull - she isn’t managing the whole walk yet, but the progress is definitely there’.
This young female Rottweiler displayed much ‘on-lead’ frustration when other dogs were in the vicinity.
Here you can see she bites the lead as she passed the dog on the veranda, this behaviour is also a habit from being encouraged to play ‘Tug’ creating a sense of releasing frustration energy on her lead & her handlers hands.

Heavily discounted services are also an option if you're a volunteer and would like more than 30mins, I am open to having a conversation with you to see how I can be of service.
