Good news. As some of may be aware I have been toying with the idea of cutting back on my working time now my poor bones are aching more. But I didn’t want to let any of my lively customers down or leave anyone wanting need of a groomer. Today an agreement has been struck with the lovely Jade at Dolly’s Dog Parlour who will be coming in to use my salon four days a week to work and I will be cutting down to two days. Those if my currant customers who’s dogs I feel will be ok to move to Jade will be joining her and others I think won’t tolerate a change will be staying with me. This is not fixed and we change around and will have more availability for swaps this way too, so you could be with either of us. Please join me in welcoming Jade and I look forward to working with her going forward.

It is with a broken heart that I tell you all that we had to say goodbye today to my big brown bear and always my baby boy. There is a huge space in my heart now but I know that he is running free of pain and walking alongside my dad. There will never be another like him he was so special. 💔 R.I.P Charlie.

Guys I wouldn’t normally do this but I am posting a request from one of my valued long standing customers. The beautiful Frank (miniature Schnauzer) has been very poorly and badly let down by Animal House and Barton Canterbury vets/hospital who all misdiagnosed and wanted to put him down. He is now at a leading animal hospital in Basildon and has been operated on and in recovery with Pancreatitis and other things. They obviously have massive bills and have insurance which covers a lot but not all of it and they are looking for some help with funding. If you are willing to give a little help I have added the go fund me link, please log in and read his story. As I say I wouldn’t normally ask but he’s such a lovely dog and loving lively owners I’m so sad. Please don’t feel obligated.

Good Morning all. Just a quick note to tell all my lovely customers, if you don’t already know, that unfortunately I will be raising my charges by £3 per dog as of 1st January 2022. I very much regret this decision but have been left with no choice due to the spiralling costs in utilities and supplies. I hope you are enjoying your weekends with your fur babies and I look forward to seeing you soon. X

Good morning customers and friends

2021 National Lockdown

Dog groomers all over the country are left stuck between a rock and a hard place over the new announcement made by Mr Johnson on the 4th January 2021.

The official statement from the government under the category businesses that can remain open is:

‘Animal Rescue Centres, Boarding Facilities and animal groomers (May continue to be used for animal welfare, rather than aesthetic purposes)’

Now this statement, particularly the word ‘welfare’ is very much open to interpretation.

Some may say ‘welfare’ is regular visits to the dog groomer whilst others might say it would be emergency reasons only.

So, my wonderful clients, I am torn.
I would love this all to be over sooner rather than later therefore feel that by closing would support my community and NHS by us all sticking together and staying home. However I understand that in some cases your dog may really need to come visit me.

I’ve decided that the best way to go forward would be to leave it up to you.

If you feel that your dog will be able to miss an appointment and therefore not have an effect to his or hers welfare then please feel free to cancel your appointment.
(Please note that I will always be available to contact for brushing tips and any other queries you may have).

If you feel that missing an appointment will have an effect on your dog’s welfare then I will continue with the appointment with the same current covid practices that I have in place.

So if you have an appointment in the next 6 weeks I ask that you please contact me via direct message and let me know how you would like to proceed.

Thank you for your support.

Please take care and stay safe.

Good evening all and good news!

Our Associations and DDC have just confirmed we are good to stay open on welfare grounds. This will of course be with social distancing and hand overs will be outside with masks, all leads and collars will be sanitised. If you would still prefer not to come out during the lockdown I perfectly understand and will be happy to change your appointment otherwise I will see you for your booked appointments. X

02/11/2020

Good morning all, for the next couple of days I will be operating as normal while I await confirmation of closure, or not, from the council. I will be in touch with everyone as soon as I can give some solid information in the meanwhile if you wish to move your appointment booked in November as you do not wish to come out anyway please contact me via text or messenger and I will change it for you. Thanks for your patience. X

Good evening all, as my regulars know I am back open and have been busy catching up with all the cancelled appointments. These are done now and I am booking in as normal, however as usual bookings are approximately at least 3 weeks ahead at the moment. As I am only part time space for any new customers is unfortunately very limited at the moment. Enjoy being back out of lockdown but stay safe out there.

Saw this on a colleagues website and thought it was a good reminder for all my customers to. There’s no excuse not to keep on top of brushing/combing before I see you all again as we have plenty of time so get home grooming. I will only let key workers off as they are busy and deserving our praise. Stay safe out there everyone.

Covid 19 Update

Unfortunately due to last nights announcement and for the safety of both my self and my customers I have with heavy heart decided to close my doors and put away my clippers for the time being until such times as the government deems it ok for me to reopen.

I will be back in touch with you all as soon as possible. In the mean time I wish all my customers both human and dog good health and look after yourselves and your loved ones.

Covid 19 update

Many of my loyal customers are contacting me and asking me what I am doing at the moment. As far as I am concerned it is business as usual until I hear otherwise or unless I or my partner become ill and I have to self isolate. Therefore if you have an appointment with me in the foreseeable future please attend as usual. If you are self isolating or unable to attend please let me know if I can help by collecting/dropping back your dog I will (this is a free offer and will not cost any extra) I am following government advice and washing my hands regularly keeping my distance at drop off and pick up times and sanitising all dogs leads/collars while they are with me and my salon regularly. If you usually stay with your dog while grooming takes place please contact me to discuss options.

There is no scientific evidence to support that dogs can pass this virus between themselves and humans so I am carrying on as normal but with sensible precautions.

Thanks and let’s keep looking out for each other and our fur babies.
