Goodbye to Will

Sadly we have had to wave goodbye to Will Clancy as he heads home to Australia.
Having spent the last 5 years with us at Dundas Vets, he will be sorely missed by clients and colleagues alike.
We wish him all the best in his future career in Australia.

🦴🩻 Our new state-of-the-art Digital Radiography (DR) X-ray machine is well and truly up and running. After a few months of use, we're seeing fantastic results.

This advanced technology allows us to capture high-quality images instantly, offering quicker and more accurate diagnostics compared to the older computed radiography (CR) systems. Our patients are receiving even better care, with reduced stress and faster treatment times.

We’re committed to providing the best care possible, and this upgrade is just one way we’re making it happen.

Unfortunately due to vandalism at our Lochend branch, our window shutters will remain closed at all times for the time being.
Our door will be also be locked so if we can ask that you please knock at the door and one of our staff will be right with you.

The month of May is Veterinary Nurse Awareness month. We would like to share with you a video of the amazing job our nurses do every day to help look after your pets. They are the heart and soul of every veterinary practice!

Their job entails a huge variety of skills ranging from monitoring anaesthesia, taking blood samples, giving medication, blood pressure checks and taking care of our hospitalised pets. This is only a small part of their essential contribution to our practice.

We can now offer nurse clinics at our Dundas Street branch for nail clipping, dressing changes, weight management checks and some repeat injections.

We are happy to announce that our 50k in March running team completed their challenge and ran just over 600km in March! We are so thankful for all of the support from our community and thrilled that we raised £1130 for Edinburgh Cat and Dog Home 🍾🐶🐱 🏃‍♀️🏃

If your appointment is for urgent veterinary care then please contact the surgery by phone as we reserve on the day appointments, and our friendly receptionists can arrange a suitable time. We hope that the Petsapp will make it easier for our clients to communicate with us, and us with them, though all branches will continue to be contactable by phone and online through our website.

February is Pet Dental Health Awareness Month!

Periodontal disease is very common in adult dogs and cats, yet it may not always be diagnosed and managed early in the course of disease.

Educating pet owners on the symptoms and consequences can aid discussion of prompt diagnosis and intervention, along with an appropriate home dental care plan.
