Here she is on a training track, in a public woodland so there’s lots of scent discrimination for her to do.

Little bit of jumping practice with Blitzy Baby. In IGP obedience there are 3 retrieve exercises, flat retrieve, retrieve over the 1M hurdle and retrieve over A-Frame
This is the hurdle exercise, I needed to set her up about 1/2 a pace further back for a better extension on the out jump, otherwise it’s a nice exercise, it’s also in her top 3 favourite things to do 😂😂
Blitz absolutely loves training obedience, she would do it hours a day if she could, she loves all the exercises but her favourites are all 3 of the retrieves and the send away, all the running and jumping 😂🥳🤩

Blitz and I are preparing for the FCI-IGP world championships in September, we will be representing Team GB 🇬🇧
I am going to share some of our prep work here, to push myself really to show my own dogs more (I can struggle with that)
This is a little snippet of our track this morning, there was no wind or even a breeze, the ground has been cut and baled 1/2 days previously and is very dry, she indicates a food pot ☀️☀️

Little afternoon training session with Blitz, here she is practicing positions, we also did heel work 💥
The session in total was probably 15 mins, she practiced things she knows well, she was fed most of her dinner through this session and got the rest with the others after, training sessions don’t need to be long…..they need to be successful 💥💪🏻🥳
👌 Foundations 👌
Havoc started learning to track when he was 7 weeks old, the second day he was home with me, I spent the first year of his life building the foundations, teaching him this skill.
Here he is today, tracking a 100 paces, he is retired now and only tracks very occasionally, but you can see he still has the skill
The lesson here applies to anything you teach, teach it well and spend time on good solid foundations, they’ll stay with you and your dog for life 👌❤️🔥

I’m not sure if you know 🙈😂 but I love teaching competitive obedience, and I want you all to enjoy it and get the best from the classes
I’ve put together this class structure, it will run on a 6 week rolling plan, so you know what you will be training each class.
Each class is suitable for dogs from beginner level to advanced
Classes will be £25 per class, or you can book them in blocks of 6 for £125, saving £25 🥳
