💫 VACCINATIONS💫
Vaccination in Pets is widely considered a public health success, just as it has been with people.
Infectious diseases once killed thousands of pets each year. But then we started vaccinating. Vaccination became one of the greatest success stories if Veterinary Medicine, saving countless lives.
Here are some of the benefits to vaccinations:
❗️Protects out pets from nasty, life threatening diseases.
❗️Creates or boosts our pets immunity to certain diseases.
❗️Prevents Pets from from passing on a disease such as Leptosirosis, which can be passed from animals to people!
Sadly, a lot of these diseases your pet can catch if they aren't vaccinated are fatal in most cases. Even if your pet catches one and is able to recover, they will often be left with long-term problems which can put them through a lot of pain and distress.
And don't forget, summer is only around the corner! And if you are going on holidays and sending your furry family into the kennels, they will need to be fully vaccinated first! 🌞 🌞
Call us at any time on 093 36501 to check if your pet is up to date with vaccinations. 💉

With the lack of sleep this weather I thought my mind was playing tricks on me in the sheep shed tonight. This little hare was happy out on his bale of straw in one of the individual lambing pens. At least he isn't letting this wonderful weather get him down!! Smart little lad to find the warmth of the sheep shed.

🎄CHRISTMAS HAZARDS 🎄 With Christmas fast approaching here is a few things to bear in mind to keep our pets safe over the festive period. 🎅 Ornaments can look quite fun for our pets so be mindful they don't get ingested and cause a blockage or break and cut them 🎅 Many of the festive plants are toxic to pets so be sure to keep them out of reach 🎅 Keep any tinsel or ribbon out of reach as they have the potential to cause obstruction if ingested 🎅 Lights can look very appealing to our furry friends however can cause serious injury such as shocks or burns 🎅 Festive foods are very yummy however sharing them with our pets can do more harm than good. Avoid sharing foods with grapes, raisins or chocolate and try avoid feeding very rich fatty foods as it can make them quite sick
