Thanks Middlemarch for our last weekend of the season ploughing for Team Dayboo. Saturday was a hard day with extreme wind and rain but Dawn, Anna, Paule and Chloe pushed threw it coming out 2nd with John coaching and Ange Judging.

Second day was was better and pleasant weather with the sun out and a light breeze but ground that had a mind of its own and challenged every aspect of the team! The team persevered and again came away with 2nd. Dawn, Anna, Paule and Chloe well done. John coaching and Ange judging again today.

We arrived in the dark and coming home in the dark.

Thank you to Middlemarch for a great weekend and to finish off our season for a VERY well deserved break!

Robyn and Tammy also came on the trip to see what it's all about and have been so good and soaking all the atmosphere in! Great exposure and learning for them.

So signing off for the ploughing this year as we head into A n P season!......and YES that is John standing(surfing ) on the plough to try and keep it in the ground today 🤣🤣🤣😅

What a fantastic weekend!! We had the Courtney ploughing match Saturday and both teams did great.

Sam and Anja with Ange and John had a great day in the stubble and could hear the plough singing as it broke the ground...it was beautiful to listen to and came away 2nd for the match!

Dawn and Anna with Paule and Chloe ended up with a great plot and both achieved some great goals for their first time working as a team and came away with 3rd for the match!

John and Sharon 1st well done!

Sunday we awoke to a VERY frosty start! The windows was frozen on the inside out! Then only to discover that the we were locked in cos the door was frozen shut so we had to turn on the diesel heater to warm up the inside so we could get the door open 🤣🤣🤣🥶🥶🥶. We were all toasty though in our sleeping bags! Big thank you to our hosts for your hospitality and having us for the night!

Lincoln was our match today.

Anja and Sam with Ange and John had a interesting day with the plough doing some interesting weird things🤣 but finished up pretty well and came away with 2nd.

Dawn and Anna with Paule and Chloe had a better day today than yesterday and it was Chloes first time with out having a coach with her today and made some great decisions with her ploughing and has a natural eye with keeping it straight! Didnt use a tape measure all weekend!! Paule driving the girls which were working great today! Who came away 3rd.

We also had a very special visitor today. Johns daughter Emma and John's lovely grandson Kanye who absolutely loves horses came and saw Grandad and Sam and Anja who just adore Kanye and are so gentle with him and just want to shower him in horse love. So special 🥰🥰

Also Sam and Anja won Best Turned Out Team trophy plaited up by Ange.

Today is also a very special day as it is beautiful Gayes birthday! Gaye works endlessly behind the scenes preparing everything for us to be able to get away and do what we love. So a big thank you to Gaye for all you do and we hope you have had the greatest birthday today ❤️ 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 John surprised Gaye with a big bunch of beautiful flowers 💐 and a huge cuddle when we arrived home 🥰🥰
