🟨🟦 Meet “Aero” McKamey! Aero was referred to us by her regular veterinarian to get an ultrasound of her gallbladder. With some well-executed collaboration between our Diagnostic, ER, and Surgical/Anesthesia teams, we were able to image, diagnose and surgically remove Aero's gallbladder (a cholecystectomy!) all in the same day. 💙 Nobel is a 12 year old handsome fox terrier who recently completed chemotherapy for lymphoma at CCVS Meadowbrook. (Pictured here with Ben and Lauran CVT, CVPP) Nobel is feeling great! Our oncology team has been treating him since November of 2025. 💛 There is *nothing better* than the feeling of giving a pet better quality of life, and giving a family more time with their pet.

🌈Meet 'Nala' Sanchez!

💙 Nala (and her cute pink pig🐷) came in recently for a TPLO Surgery performed by Dr. Stanley at our Tower Hill location. A TPLO, or Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy, is the most common and successful surgery because it stabilizes the knee joint in dogs that have ruptured their CCL(Cranial Cruciate Ligament). 💛💛 We are pleased to report that Nala is doing “phenomenal”, according to family!

The technical talent we have at CCVS is a frequent topic we enjoy hearing about in the wonderful stream of client feedback. Clients leave notes on consult room whiteboards, mention staff names in reviews, or tell us when we call to check in and see how their pet is doing after a procedure. We have some of the best Veterinary Technicians in Anesthesia, Surgery, and Oncology.

Pictured is Kelli, one of our anesthesia nurses, performing a locoregional nerve block (intercostal block) on 'Rocky' Fitzpatrick, prior to the surgical removal of a large tumor from the side of his chest.

While we are on the subject, local nerve blocks dramatically improve patient comfort and lessen the number of doses needed for systemic anesthesia medications in surgery. Patients experience fewer side effects from anesthesia (and recover more comfortably) thanks to local nerve blocks like this one. The CCVS team performs local nerve blocks prior to almost every surgical procedure we do.
