Hey Parkway friends and family, our hours for the week of Thanksgiving are posted below. We hope you have a wonderful holiday week! If you have an emergency, please call Dr. Beam (501-247-3925) or Out West Urgent Care. If you need vaccinations for boarding, we have availability Monday-Wednesday next week!
Monday-Tuesday: 8am-5pm
Wednesday: 8am-2pm
Thursday-Sunday: Closed

Hello Parkway friends and family, Dr. Beam will be out of the office from 10/26 through 10/29. If your pet needs vaccinations or to be seen this week, we are open through Wednesday the 25th and will reopen Monday the 30th. We will still be here to answer the phone and refill medications while Dr. Beam is away. If you have an emergency please call Out West Urgent Care or Arkansas Veterinary Emergency and Specialists.

Good morning Parkway friends and family, there is a power outage in our area. A tree from last nights storm has destroyed electricity poles for our building. It is estimated for the power to be back on by tomorrow morning. If you have an appointment for today and you would like to reschedule, please call 501-247-3925 or 501-286-2998. We are so sorry for this inconvenience.

Clinic cats are goodwill ambassadors. They greet clients at the front desk, making them feel welcome. They help by biting on the pens as we write and also warm up the keyboard for the computer (maybe not so helpful as they think). Snuggle up to clients who are nervous about their own pet’s health. Clients come in just to visit our clinic cats, and they are more than willing to bask in the attention and treats. And of course, they are pros at raising orphan kittens until proper placement 😻 thank you Arthur, Lance and Fisher!

📢Attention pet parents 📢

Arkansas is experiencing a large number of Canine Influenza cases. If your pet(s) have been to boarding, grooming, doggy daycare, or socializing with other pets they are at a increased risk of contracting the virus.

SIGNS/SYMPTOMS:
Cough
Fever
Lethargy
Nasal discharge
Ocular discharge
Reduced appetite

If your pet is experiencing any of these signs, please call to set up an appointment. It will take time for the virus to run it’s course. Your pet will be considered contagious for up to 2 weeks after coughing has stopped.

In order to slow the spread of the virus, please REMAIN in your vehicle and call us upon arrival. Do NOT walk your dog in the grass around the parking lot if you have made an appointment for any of the signs above, this can expose other patients.

The Clinic will need to implement our Covid Protocol again for a couple weeks. Clients will not be allowed to accompany their pets into the clinic for appointments. You will need to remain in your car while a member of staff brings your pet into the clinic for treatment.

Clients will also not be permitted into the clinic for medication refills. All medication will be delivered curbside.

A big thank you to Alex Beam and DJ at Parkway Animal Hospital for saving our sweet Allie today. This sweet girl quit eating 3 days ago but acted just fine. It turned out she had an infected uterus. It weighed 6.8 pounds!! It was removed a few hours ago and, while not out of the woods yet, things look a whole lot better now than this morning!! Can't thank you enough Alex!
