This is Lola and her boop-able nose! Her family is so thankful that she is still here to enjoy the snow with them.

Lola had a type of mass around her mandibular (lower jaw) right canine tooth called a squamous cell carcinoma. This mass has an excellent cure rate with complete excision.

Her family veterinarian identified the type of tumor and completed her pre-operative work-up and sent her to us for a consultation for curative surgery.

Our team performed a cone beam CT to assess the extent of the mass. Cone Beam CT is an advanced imaging test that provides excellent bone and tooth detail for the most accurate assessment for Lola's surigcal needs. Dr. Sievers then performed a rostral mandibulectomy to remove the tumor completely.

Lola has healed well and can now enjoy what we expect to be a long and comfortable life with her family.

Sorry we haven’t posted in a couple of weeks, we have dived head first into our computer system and getting everything set up. Here are some updated photos. Our reclaimed wood on the reception counter was installed, our treatment island is nearly finished, full body x-ray installed, and started building anesthesia machines! Just a little over 2 weeks and we will be open to the public.

It doesn’t look like much right now, but this is the heart of the facility. Our treatment center will house 4 dental stations, all are equipped with digital dental x-ray, anesthesia machines with ventilator, anesthesia monitor, and surgical lights.

Only a week has gone by yet so many changes are happening. We are so thankful for our dream to be sprouting in front of us. This week our fabulous team is installing our HVAC and pulling wire.
