Couple of spots available π
Convergence! Sometimes we need to converge with our dogs line on course and if this hasnβt been trained it can cause dogs to crash into you or cut behind you! Think landing side front crosses, serps etc.
This should form part of our foundation jump training so that we have more handling options on course ππ»

JUMP CUES
I have 10 different cues for my dogs - which seems a lot but actually I use all of these and find them all useful. As I train running contacts it means Iβm very much for independence and verbal cues as I donβt expect to be able to be at the jump to help my dog with my body.
So the cues I have are;
Wing wrap
a general wing wrap cue that means jump with collection and look to me for further information
Left and right wing wrap cue
This cue means jump with collection, wrap the wing and turn back to me, even on a rear cross
Loose right and left
For example a pinwheel
Tight left or right 180
This cue is specifically for jumps on a 180 where I donβt want the dog to loop out and would expect them to jump more on a slice.
Backside wrap
Take the backside of the jump in collection and turn towards me with me on the face side of the jump
Backside slice
Take the backside of the jump on a slice - in extension and watch me for further information
Threadle wrap
Take the backside of the jump in collection
Threadle slice
Take the backside of the jump in extension.
Wing wrap has three separate names, directionals three then the other four!
