On the 10th June 2024 it will become a legal requirement that all owned cats are microchipped.

As an incentive to our clients we have currently reduced the cost of microchipping to all pets from £20 to £12.50 each.

Unfortunately we have had a stray cat brought to the practice this morning deceased 20/03/2024. He was an entire male cat. He's black with a white chest and paws. No microchip or collar. If you think this may be your cat, please contact the surgery on 01302 337838

We wanted to say thank you for your loyalty and continued custom over the years. We are fortunate to now have 3 vets working at the practice who are able to provide a high quality service to you and your pets.

Although we have tried our best to keep our costs low, our overheads and medication costs have increased a lot over the past year which has a big impact on a small independent practice like ourselves. We are making the difficult decision of increasing our consult fees in line with inflation which will take immediate effect.

Don't for get May is Feline Hypertension Month. Book your DISCOUNTED appointment now.

Leonard was in forba routine booster appointment where he had a full health exam and a routine blood pressure check. His blood pressure was measured with his owner present and he was relaxed throughout the procedure.

Despite his calm demeanour, his results indicated that he had high blood pressure! He was able to start on medication straight away to help lower his blood pressure back to safe levels.

This early detection meant we were able to reduce his blood pressure and protect his organ health.

Did you know that May is Feline Hypertension month?

High blood pressure in cats, also known as feline hypertension, is a
potentially life-threatening condition that occurs in around 1 in 5 cats over 9 years of age. This disease is treatable with medication, but 82% of senior cats don't receive blood pressure checks.

Call us today to get your cat's blood pressure checked.

During May we are offering a £40 nurse consult which includes:
- Nurse health check
- Blood pressure check
- Blood sample that will detect early kidney problems
- Urine sample check, if you are able to bring one to the appointment

FOUND

MISSING CAT *PLEASE SHARE*

Boris is missing from Adwick since the 17th July. It is very unlike Boris to stray far and not return home for his breakfast.

He is a short-haired ginger and white neutered male about 2 1/2 years old. He is microchipped and wearing a grey rubber collar.
