Glenbrae Veterinary Clinic was first opened in January 1990 by Wendy McGrandles, a branch surgery in Dumbarton was opened in 1997. Glenbrae Vet Clinic is expanding again and we have opened a brand new state of the art Veterinary Practice in Muirhead, Glasgow. Our enthusiastic, dedicated team aims to provide the highest level of small animal veterinary care in an environment that makes you and your

pet feel welcome. Our team of vets (ably assisted by highly trained vet nurses) are here to give their best attention to any pet, whether it needs a routine health check and vaccination or an emergency, life-saving operation. Most of our patients are dogs and cats, but we are seeing an increasing number of small furry pets, birds and more exotic species. Please don’t be afraid to ask for our help or advice. All of the staff have pets of their own and we understand that your pet is a much-loved member of the family.

🦷🦷🦷Everyone must have met the lovely miss Daphne before! Daphne was in to see Cat for her health check and to chat about toothbrushing - she’s not too keen on getting her back teeth done so Cat and Daphne’s mum were making a plan to take care of Daphne’s oral hygiene! 🦷 🦷🦷

Lily‼️‼️

Lily was in to see us at our Bearsden branch, she was brought in by her dog walker as an emergency after she was showing signs of having something stuck in her throat- she suddenly started coughing, gagging and sneezing while she was out her walk. Cara examined Lily and felt there was likely something stuck in her throat or up her nose. We sedated Lily and Cara examined up Lilly’s nose and the back of her throat and did see a foreign body. Cara removed an 11cm piece of grass lodged. Cara carefully removed it with forceps.
As you can see Lily woke up very well from her sedation! She was fully of cuddles for everyone and an absolute pleasure to have in the practice!!

We are very pleased to report Lily is now completely recovered and back to his usual self! 💕

🥰🐾🥰This big Fluffball is Toby! Toby was in to see us to get weighed for his wormer and have his teeth checked after he had 2 baby canines remove. He’s a wonderful ball of fun and just thinks the world is such a wonderful place! 🥰 🐾🥰

Glenbrae Vets Dog Show at the Muirhead and Chryston Gala Day! 🐾🏆

Well everyone what can we say?! Thank you SO much to everyone who came along and entered their pawfect pooch into our classes which were so well attended! These photos are just a small selection of the ones we took.

Cheeky explorers Hugo and Inka were in to see the nurses this morning for their 6mthly Pet Health Club check. This is an appointment with our nurses that is included in their monthly plan and takes place 6mths after your pets’ booster appointment with the vet- this means your furry friends receive 2 full MOTs a year! Joining your pets to the Pet Health Club costs as little as 69p a day for cats and spreads the cost of preventative vet care over the year and entitles you and your pet to plant of benefits. 🐈 🐈 🐈‍⬛

Inka in particular was keen to jump and explore, Hugo was more interested in charming treats out of Cat!

Beautiful Belle was in to see Cat today to have her monthly Librela injection to help her arthritis. Belle’s arthritis is very well controlled on Librela- and she was more than happy to eat the squeezy cheese while she got the injection!🤣🤣🙈🙈

💕💕Gorgeous Henry was in today to get checked by the nurses for his flea, tick and worming treatment. Henry is part of our Pet Health club so his parasite treatment and nurses consult were included as part of this. Isn’t he gorgeous!!! 💕💕

This adorable troublemaker is Dolly. Dolly was in to see Cat to get her a**l glands expressed, she needs this done on an almost monthly basis. An appointment for our nurses to express your dogs a**l glands is usually £26.50, but lucky Dolly is a member of our Pet Health Club. Our Pet health club is a monthly direct debit which as well as covering your dogs booster and kennel cough vaccinations and year round parasite treatment includes many other benefits including free of charge appointments for our nurses to express your dog’s a**l glands!!! This can be a huge saving for pets like Dolly who frequently need their glands emptied.
Dolly easily forgave Cat with the tactical use of squeezy cheese!!! 😋🙈🤣💕

It’s fireworks weekend now, we hope your furry friends are safe and settled! Lynnes lovely dog was kind enough to demonstrate how to use a figure of 8 knot with a scarf to mimic use of a thundershirt! Thundershirts are a commonly use tool to help pets who have issues with anxiety and are Particularly useful and times of the year like this! Spooky creepy crawly day, at Muirhead yesterday - PART 2... Found this little guy taking a break from the storm in our stationary cupboard. While he had a rest in a little comfy cosy box and waited for SSPCA to arrive, the staff nicknamed him Shaun (Batty) Unfortunately for Shaun, the SSPCA were very busy with seabirds and gannets and were not able to come to Shaun before the pratice closed. Luckily however, Lynne who lives locally, took him home to wait. During a thorough check over for torn wings, infection etc by the SSPCA, Shaun demonstrated that he had plenty of fight in him and was declared fit to release. Unfortunately Lynne's garden was not deemed a safe place due to her Labrador and Shaun was taken away to find a safer drop spot.
