Amazing update!!!!

Miss Bella has finally made her journey to New York and forever home. We are honored and so thankful to PRoud Rescuers of Puerto Rico PR.Rescue.Angels for this outcome. PR Rescue has done so much for the animals and its moments like these that touch our heart. Bella’s is full story will be coming soon. When she has some time to settle down with her new family will be making a video from the day we met her and her siblings dumped at Los Machos Beach until the day she was adopted. It takes a village to save even one life, but it’s absolutely worth seeing moments like this in the end. Happy tails, sweet Bella, you were one of the best foster babies we ever had. 🥹❤️We know he will make your new family. So happy. ❤️🙏🏼

🖤National Black Cat Day 🖤
A message from us at Furiend Flight and our very own “spooky” rescue cats — Benito and Ceiba. These are our beautiful black rescue cats who were once abandoned on the streets of Old San Juan and Los Machos Beach, Puerto Rico. 🥹

Like so many others, they faced abandonment, uncertainty, and fear. These two sweet loving peaceful, affectionate companions are reminder of what rescue and compassion is all about. 🖤

Black cats are often the last to be rescued or adopted, yet they are among the most loyal, gentle, and resilient animals you’ll ever meet. Myths and superstitions still lead to them being passed by, but in truth, they bring warmth, grace, and quiet strength to any home.

This National Black Cat Day, let’s challenge old beliefs and celebrate these incredible animals for what they are — symbols of resilience, love, and second chances.

Urgent foster needed for Rocco – a stunning 10-month-old European Great Dane in Tucson, AZ

Rocco is a handsome 10-month-old European Great Dane who’s looking for a loving foster home while he awaits his forever family. Whike his past was filled with neglect and heartbreak, he’s got a lot of love to give and would thrive with an Dane experienced, dog-friendly household.

🐾 Age: 10 months
🐕 Breed: European Great Dane
📍 Location: Tucson, AZ
🩺 Medical: Shots up to date
⚠️ Status: Intact due to age (as per current vet guidance)
💖 Personality: Friendly, walks well on leash, seems to be okay with small dogs. Large dogs and cats unknown.
🏡 Foster needs: A home with secure fencing, patient guidance, and awareness of Dane-sized needs (space, exercise, and socialization)

What we’re looking for in a foster:
A safe, contained space with a secure yard
A routine for meals, exercise, and potty breaks
Willingness to work with a young, energetic giant on training basics
Regular updates with photos/videos to help him find his forever family

Summer Recap: June – September ✨

This summer, we were able to rescue, vaccinate, feed, and fly out so many abandoned and stray animals from the streets of Puerto Rico.Each face in this album tells a story of survival, resilience, and hope. 🐾❤️

But after returning this month, the reality is clear—our work is far from over. Many dogs and cats are still waiting for help. Some were dumped weeks ago, yet with food, care, and kindness, they are finally beginning to show their true gentle personalities. 🥹

Our goal is simple: to trap, fix, foster, and find loving homes for as many as we can. 🌍 But we can’t do it alone.

👉 That’s why we’ve started a new fundraiser to keep making a difference for these animals who have no one else. Every bit of help matters:

✨50 years on earth for 51 I choose service ✨

Half a century on this earth has taught me many things, but the greatest gift has been finding a special calling: service, kindness, and giving a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves.

This summer, I spent 3 months in Puerto Rico where our small but determined nonprofit, Furiend Flight, helped feed, vaccinate, rescue, fly, foster. 31 dogs and cats. Some are already safe in loving homes, but many are still waiting in foster care or with sister organizations for their chance at forever families. Every single one of them is loving, deserving, and worth saving.

We have covered feeding routes, vaccines, vet bills, medical emergencies, and airline tickets to fly these precious souls to safety across the U.S. But the truth is—we can’t take in more urgent cases until we find placement and homes for those already in care. And there are so many waiting.

For my birthday this year, all I want is to keep this mission alive. I don’t need gifts—I need hope. I need support so we can keep rescuing, keep healing, and keep flying these animals to the lives they deserve.

At 51, I know my purpose: to make a difference, one life at a time. If you’ve ever thought of adopting, fostering, donating, or simply sharing our story—this is the moment. Together, we can change their future.
