📣 REMINDER: Do not get relaxed about tick prevention 😎

🛑 AREC have seen an increase in numbers of cases of tick paralysis just recently.

✅ NOW is a good time to make sure your pet is up to date with a suitable preventive. Please ask if you need advice on the options for your dog or cat.

🐶 For dogs, we will very soon have a new annual injection for flea and tick prevention. Please ask our vets if you would like to know more about this option

This little lady doesn't enjoy the vet too much. Today, we started to just drop in and sit quietly, whilst receiving many treats. We are not dog trainers, but we are more than happy to help owners in any way we can.

The little visit went really well, and we are super proud of this little princess. Thank you to the team at Merewether Vet for helping us, even allowing us to sit in the consult room and giving tips/treats too 🐾

Due to the high demand for our services and our limited cage space over this upcoming busy period, we are only able to accept strays who are in need of emergency assistance and cannot wait for Veterinary care.

Uninjured stray animals are the responsibility of your local council on behalf of the public.

Please contact your local council 24-hour phone lines to be put in touch with a ranger or compliance officer. Councils can be contacted on the following numbers;
