You may remember posts from earlier this year about an injectable treatment for Osteoarthritis is cats called Solensia. Well PHAH has started carrying the Canine equivalent Librela! Librela is a once a month injection treatment for OA in our dog friends and boy have we gotten some great feedback about it!
Here’s what Schultz’s owner has to say about their experience with Librela (and they included a great video of how well he’s getting around)!
“Schultz is our 10 year old German Shepherd and over the last few months has been having trouble getting up from laying down, would get up considerably slower than in the past. Schultz also would hesitate starting steps up or down. We got a ramp to facilitate getting in and out of our car. Then the fantastic staff at Perryhall Animal Hospital gave him a shot of Librela and it changed everything! He doesn’t struggle to get up, climbs stairs with no issue.”

Happy Tail Wagging Tuesday! Gibby LOVES visiting PHAH and enjoying our delicious goodies. This handsome boy is 10 & 1/2 years old and came to see Dr. Baer today for an exam and annual senior bloodwork. His observant Mom and Dad noticed he didn’t scarf down his green bean snackies on Saturday and sometimes that is all the hint we get that something could be off - best to check and make sure our good boy is safe and healthy! 💙

Meet Tucker! This sweet, distinguished looking senior Boxer was in recently for a routine wellness visit. As owners of this breed know, they can be predisposed to heart issues. Wanting to keep Tucker as healthy as possible, his wonderful owner got him scheduled for an echocardiogram and abdominal ultrasound to make sure his ticker and the rest of his internal organs were in tip top shape! His reports came back he is just as healthy as he is sweet! Tucker is in the video enjoying a little snack from his biggest fan, Michelle! 🐶

Friday’s Feline of the Day goes to Turbo! Turbo was here for a senior wellness exam with Dr. Baer, and bloodwork was recommended. He was hissing at us at first, but after a comfy towel and some tasty churu he allowed us to get the sample we needed. Low stress handling works!
